Dead Rising 2 Confirmed

Dead Rising 2 has been announced FINALLY, with a nice looking heap of screenshots to match.

Here's the jist of it:

- Set years after the original
- New main character
- Location is a Vegas themed 'Gambling paradise of Fortune City'
- Developed by Canadian company Blue Castle, however watched over by many of the original team including Inafune.
- Will be on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC
- THIS WILL BE FUCKING AWESOME

I am so looking forward to this I think I just wet myself a bit, WAR COVERING, ZOMBIE SMASHING, GUT RIPPING FUN IS BACK.

I'm really hoping they keep in the Time Limit and one save features... it's what sperated the men from the boys.

Plus, it's what turned it into an actual game. You had to actually play it... not just run around aimlessly killing zombies. It wasn't GTA, it was Dead Rising.

Even if I end up loving this, I will still say it sucks because more people get to play it and see how fun it is.

I wouldn't say i'm stealing the joke, if I wanted to steal something it would be something people wouldn't notice. Like taking money from your parents, they would notice if a 20 or something was missing but most likely not a dollar or two.

Does 'Gambling Paradise of Fortune City' imply that it will actually take place in a full city instead of one casino? If so, that makes it quite a bit more intriguing to me.

Well you can clearly see Frank in his Mega Man outfit in the leaked trailer, as well as some of the voices sounding suspiciously like his though it's hard to tell with so much distortion. I reckon Frank will make an apperance, either as an NPC in the story or more optimistically as part of some sort of Co-Op system. The new guy does look suspciously similiar to Frank (related?).

I like Dead Rising a lot so i'll preorder it and I hope it's awesome.
I read that they were going to keep Frank since he's covered wars you know?
Anyway I also heard that the Wii adaptation for Dead Rising was lacking all the great stuff from the XBOX 360 version.

Oh and Dead Rising 5 will be about zombies that suspiciously look like the mutated vampires from Blade 2.

The whole time I was playing Dead Rising, I couldn't help but think "This is fun and all, but why can't I experience the rest of the town?" I seriously hope my dream comes true. :P

Frank and Isabella worked to make a treatment to prevent Frank from becoming a zombie, but it was not a cure.

I'd like to see that expanded upon in Dead Rising 2.
