The guy who killed Jesus.

I was walking home from work, and suddenly this question popped into my head.

"Could the guy who killed Jesus be in heaven?"

Now, i'm no Catholic, or Atheist or whatever. But this question is bugging me. It's said that Jesus was killed by a spear to the heart, better known at the artifact "The spear of destiny". So, the wielding of the spear, killed Jesus. And we know that murder is a sin, and he would go to hell.

BUT in the event that this guy, could repent his sins, and accept Jesus as his savior, would he go to heaven? And i'm not trying to start yet another religion bashing thread, but i think it would be kind of awkward / funny for both of them.

There's historical evidence about such a man who went around saying he was god's son and what not. He existed, but the question is whether you believe him or not.

Also, didn't it say he was pierced by a spear and blood and water came out? That would mean he was dead for some time already.

He was crucified, but it was the spear "Plunged into the heart of the Lord", as the bible say, that actually killed him. Then they took him down and buried him.

I am an atheist, but Jesus did exist. He was a major political, social, and religious leader. However, he was no the son of god, he did not turn water into wine, he did not walk on water, and he did not make bread and fish appear out of mid air. He was a charismatic person with delusions of grandeur. He and his successors managed to manipulate billions of people into believing a load of Bullshit. However, he did exist.
