This is a serious thread.

For those of you who are ignorant enough to get offended by the title, I hope you're reading this so I can advise you NOT to post.

Anyway, you've probably heard this part of the argument before:
Why is it that you could be the most kindest & brilliant person there ever was, but God is such a cunt that if you don't believe in him, or if you've been raised a Hindu all your life & have never heard of Christianity you get tortured forever in hell.

But here's something else I thought of:
Now, imagine if the dictator of a country made it so that every Sunday you had to go to a special building & write thankyou emails to him & sing songs about him, because if you don't you go straight to fucking prison.

I mean, this is like what Hitler did to his own people, if you believe in him you can carry on as normal, but if you say ANYTHING bad about him, or that goes against respecting him at all times you will go to the holocaust. And I'm pretty sure that the Christian idea of internal Hell is MUCH worse than the holocaust.

So who is more evil? Christian's idea of god, or Hitler?

The holocaust was a time period in which people of the Jewish religion were being blamed for Germany's losses in previous wars which led to a huge genocide. You can't just be "sent" there.

The Catholic Church teaches that you are judged according to your knowledge of the law. If you never heard of Jesus, you are judged accordingly. So if you are never taught Christianity, you are not doomed to Hell. The Buddha, for example, could be in Heaven since he was never exposed to the ideas of Christ. If you live a good life and follow God's law to the best of your knowledge, you can go to Heaven.

In my opinion, that is a reasonable position. I hope that I helped the conversation.

"God" causes people to do things that they wouldn't normally do, such as go to an organized meeting (church) and give money away for no actual reason, except pay some guy to tell you about a book that you could easily read. I used to be catholic, so don't think that I'm ill informed

Both are equal in the violent sense because both are humans. Hitler killed millions in a bloody war while religion has killed billions in tons of wars. Yes BILLIONS because religion has been around since the beginning of time.

HOWEVER, there is NOTHING similar between Hitler and God except that both are powerful leaders.
