This is going to make me sound like a real retard, but bare with me here.
For a few months, I've befriended a girl born in Japan who came to America. The Japanese are people whom I've respected in some ways, and I thought it would be cool to meet one. Her name is Mio (Me-oh), but I misheard before and thought it was Mew (yes, the same name as the Pokemon). My first female friend outside the interwebz (first that I would call a "friend" mind you). So at first, I was thinking "Alright, cool. She speaks English, and it would be nice to hang out with a girl for a change". I have one class with her which is PE. The last five minutes we all wait for a gate to open, which gives us time to chat a little.
Now, I have a tendency to screw up while talking but I quickly correct myself. I'm certainly not a talker, but that's what I was always doing. Talking about myself, trying to explain a little about flash, but I soon realised this is not what I was expecting. She never says anything. Yes, she understands both English and Japanese completely. She knows what I mean, but she never talks about herself. To be honest, I just wanted to get to know her a little. "She's obviously shy" I think and resort to asking questions about her so I can learn a little. When I ask questions that are more directly at her such as "why are you a year behind in school" she never gives me an answer. I noticed we were both a year behind and shamelessly mentioned I was held back in Kindergarden, but she just didn't say anything. The questions I ask are mostly the kind any guy would ask when he wants to start a relationship, but none of the serious ones. I wasn't good at it and just thinking about what I should say next is frustrating.
The point is, these days I'm deciding on just not talking to her. But when I don't for the day, she tends to purposely be near me as if giving me a chance to chat with her. Now that is generous and a sign that she likes hearing me say some basic shit, but I don't know what she really wants from me. She'll never say anything. It's starting to piss me off. You know what? f*** it. I'll ignore her. Maybe a year from now she'll be a little more human, but right now, I need to get some decent grades and focus more on flash.
I hope some of you managed to follow along, but this is not easy to explain at all. I just want to know what is the problem. I'm sure I'm not doing anything wrong. I've been a gentleman to her and even hit a guy who tried to make fun of her being an immigrant (saying some pretty screwed up things that would make you want to pull a gun on them).
Anyway, I reeeeaaaaally hate expressing something in my life to people over the internet but there's nowhere else where I could actually get help. You guys have heard some crazy ass stories here, help an idiota out.
