Weed for the first time tomorrow

Yeah, so I made a thread a while back about this stating it as "soon", and made the decision I was going to give weed a go.

Well soon is tomorrow. And to be honest I'm a little nervous about it. Just to check my facts:

- There's no real addiction, just an "I could do with that again" feeling?
- Smell doesn't stick if you're outside?
- Still able to appear sober to the casual observer, depending on how much you take?
- Won't make me do anything stupid?

Wish me luck, I suppose. And tell me if my facts are wrong. And if you have any additional info you think I might need to know tell me please.

Sometimes when people do it for the first time they get immensely paranoid. One of my mates was proper freaking out because his heart was beating really fast, and he was convinced he was going to pass out and not wake up, thinking he would die from it. So he was afraid to go to sleep even though the weed had made him proper drowsy.

We were just laughing at him, we were also playing Left 4 Dead and he didn't know what the fuck he was doing.

So yeah, just enjoy your high. Don't get paranoid because nothing will happen.

Nope, no addiction and no withdrawl if you stop after ages of doing it.

I personally wouldn't know but the tobacco itself will probably have a smell for a while.

Yeah, you might be a bit giggly but it won't be obvious that you're high or anything.

Additional info: this time is gonna suck balls. especially if you've never even smoked before.

most of this is based off of friends and the internet. i've tried it like three times and that's how i felt.

Well, my brother smoked pot for years and I only realised after he told me. Of course, people have different reactions.

Pretty much. I've heard of my friends getting slight headaches after quitting cold turkey during prolonged use, but the same could be said for caffeine.

Uh... not necessarily. Weed has a pretty potent aroma, so bring axe or something if you're worried.

Yeah, depends on how good of an actor you are and how much you've smoked. Usually people have a hard time telling if I'm high, because I can control it pretty well, but some of my friends are so friggin' obvious. Oh... and be careful with clear eyes, sometimes it makes your eyes so white that it's worse than having red eyes.

Most likely will, if it's your first drug. It'll probably make you say stupid things, not so much do stupid things because you'll be so relaxed.

Don't forget to inhale! This is key.

Pretty much. You need to be a chronic smoker before you get any sort of addiction.

Just don't blow the smoke down your shirt or anything. Make sure your friends don't exhale into your face or anything, makes your hair stink.

Depending on how much you take is the key word. Don't go overboard thinking it's not working. It takes a few minutes to settle into the high.

Again, depending on how much you take. The most likely thing you are to do is to find somewhere safe if you have a paranoid high.

Have a good time, make sure the people you are smoking with make you feel 'safe'. The worst experience you could ever have is a bit of a paranoid freak-out, and having safe people around, or by yourself, is usually the best way to ride it out. Have a good first experience I guess. Don't forget to breath from your belly. Try a double inhale if you're really worried about not getting high, ie: pull the smoke into your mouth, then take a deep breath in to get all the smoke down.

My mate did try weed the one time and didn't really see the big deal with it. He wasn't addicted and he never "tripped" in the end. You'll probably be okay if it's just the first time using it, but remember why that stuff is illegal; it can fuck you up. My uncle lost his mind - The Wall style - with that stuff.

Did he smoke cigarettes beforehand? That was what started me on other things. I tried those when I was 12, then suddenly a world of inhaling things into my lungs for affect awoke in me.

its true that there are no chances for traditional addiction, but the human mind is a tricky thing
if you are worried about smelling like pot, it depends what you smoke. if u smoke a blunt or joint, you will likely reek, especially if u smoke in a car or enclosed place. but if you smoke out of a bowl or bong, or watever, probly just your breathe will smell, but any soft drink or a quick swish with mouthwash will help that.
as far as people noticing oyur high, it all depends on how much you can handle. but dont try to fight it, just be high as shit and enjoy it.

in short, bring eyedrops and a pop(soda) and chill the fuck out. unless your 12 no one will care if oyur stoned

Addiction is only chemical %1 of the time (made up percentage), the rest of the time it's your own fucking choice. If you like it and you got away with it, chances are you will do it again. At least when it's not chemical it's easy to quit.

Hell no. Pot makes you fucked up. That is it's purpose. It is insanely simple to tell if you are high. It has a very thick smell and changes your personality. If it didn't, then how would that be fun?

Don't do it outside unless you live very close to deep forests/trees. Don't do it alone (with friends). You will probably get paranoid on your first try, just telling you. Also. you will become insanely hungry and laugh at NOTHING. Same with alcohol. I would wait until you are at college really.

No shit your friend didn't "trip", that's not what bud does, unless of course you eat it baked into a fat. It's not physically addictive, but it can be emotinally addictive. Your uncle didn't lose his mind from THC, however he could have smoked laced nugget, but that's most likely not the case either.
