HELLO VOICE ACTORS!

If you voice act on Ng or want to voice act then this place is for you. Here voice actors can introduce themselves and discuss tactics, talk about mics, or just hang out! Since voice acting is such an important part of the Audio/Flash community, then why not have a headquarters for them? I have always wondered how many voice actors are out there on NG and hope to find them talking in this thread.

Also, we can hold contests every now and then with voice acting! I won't guarantee any prizes yet, but maybe some rich Mod will help me out here. *Since all mods live in gigantic castles* Or I can contact Tom for permission for store credit to be given away.

Well, with all that said I hope you have a good time here!

Thanks. ;)

We had something like this before. It was locked after about 1,000 useless posts, rofl.

yeah, the VA club was outdated and spammy, also in the wrong forum. It was switched into the VA wanted and VA adv. threads.

The introduction and whoring is made in above links, the "just hanging out" is done in the AF-lounge. Voice acting is part of the audio forum, if you wish to discuss microphones/techniques, it's OK to make a new thread to bring things up. This is because many techniques are similiar to vocally sung techniques and such.

It definitley would be cool with VA-contests, like you say VA's are a very important part of animation and thus NG. Perhaps hook up with audio(music) artists and try to make a full "scenario" with soundscapes etc. that later can be a contest for flash-artists to animate to? (old idea i've had that never happened, and that can be made even more advanced...).
If you have ideas for contests, and wishes to get them NG-sponsored, Tom's the one to talk to. I'd suggest that you finnish up a "starter contest" to prove that it can be made with good results before contacting Tom though, that's how the MAC's were started, second MAC got NG sponsored, and they still are, now having launched more or less frequent for two and a half year!

As you can tell by above response, all purposes for this thread already are filled up, making this thread superflous.
