I Wanna Be The Guy. It's officially the hardest game ever. Everything tries to kill you, from cherries, to spikes, to Mike Tyson, to Zangeif, to Dracula.

Am I the only one that finds R-Type to be an incredibly hard game? I mean, it's a fun game, and the gameplay is rewarding, but it's seriously balls-hard. If it weren't for the infinate mode on "R-Type: Dimensions"(an extremely good game, by the way), I'd probably be fried toast in T-Minus 2 seconds.

Halo on the hardest difficulty. Fucking grunts could threw sticky nades over mountains and have them land on my head.
And Theif was pretty hard, I forgot what console its for though

I Wanna Be The Guy, but that game was never made to be fun or beaten. They just did everything they could to be cheap and kill you.

Obligitory Ninja Gaiden Sigma on master ninja, but besides the obvious, Megaman Zero 3 and Megaman Zero 4 (Hard mode only) are extremely hard. I've gotten through MMZ3 on Normal and Hard, but Megaman Zero 4 just seems a little bit too ridiculous.

Yeah that's going to be a bit hard to do without loosing some lives but it's definately not possibly but Smash TV that is a real challange.

I know what you mean by that, I played it when i was about 7 years old and i was a very frustrated gamer and impatient (even Super Mario World made me break 3 controls) I couldn't even get past the first level, now it's been more than 10 years, I still can't get past the first level.

Castle Shikigami 2.

It's a vertical scrolling shooter for PS2. By the third level, there are so many bullets that the game lags. A lot. Really, the only way you could get anywhere in the game was either memorizing every missile trajectory or exploiting the ridiculous lag. The bosses literally throw constant waves of bullets at you, with only a couple of pixels that you could slip through and shoot them.
Then, on Extreme Mode, you basically take the bullets and multiply by 2.
