Goldeneye was just another boring FPS and you're saying it had everything Goldeneye did. In addition to that it has multiplayer options... so what I see here is a FPS that is like every other FPS except it has decent multiplayer options which should be the norm not the exception.

I get the same type of talk about Halo. That game was a complete snooze and everyone will be like "did you play multiplayer??" and yes I did... and single player was more fun... which wasn't very fun anyway.

You know, I was actually going to buy Perfect Dark when I heard you could take a picture of your face with the Game Boy Camera, then upload it with the Game Boy Adapter and your character would look like you. But they canceled that fun feature. Oh well.

I wasn't interested in Pikmin until I played it. It's a really good game. It's about as childish as the Lemmings game is, except you get to battle stuff with the Pikmin.
It's was not the type of game I'd exactly love, but that Shigeru Miyamoto can sell me on anything, I guess. No wonder he's a legend of video games.

I got a n64 and i loved it..... only the price of the games nearly killed me, but Hey look at the prices of xbox games ( in my country gamecube is always a steady 59 euro and thjrd party games for xbox are also 59 euro but whenever a game like KOTOR comes out then the prices goes up to 69 or 75 euro again, just like it was when it first came out)/. U can buy a new GC for that money :P

Ah, so I'm guessing you're not a big FPS fan. I agree about Halo, but what FPS stood up to GoldenEye and PD at the time? Even now, what is a decent or even exceptional FPS in your mind?

I'm not a big FPS fan because they're all pretty much the same.

As to what FPS stood up to Golden Eye and Perfect Dark at the time... pretty much any FPS because they were all the same. Enemy in crosshair, push button, repeat. Fun for about 5 minutes.

A few FPS games that are good: Metroid Prime & Deus Ex
Those games offer more than just pushing a button when a sprite is in a crosshair.

Same goes with racing games. I'm not a big fan of racing games. However games like Mariokart and Rock n' Roll Racing are more than just normal racing games.

Ah, repetition. Quite understandable. I do still enjoy a few gems they put out every so often. But your statement on racing games just goes back to what I was saying about our similar tastes. Those are easily two of the best racing games of all time. I hear they're porting R&R to GBA as well.

Nintendo is one of the biggest company, and people use the name Nintendo for any system, or atleast I do, I dont say, hey let's go get a "Sony game", I dont know why I say Nintendo, but, nothing can ever beat Zelda for N64, That game rocked so much, GoldenEye was fun, but I played better Bond games for N64, I don't remember there names.

N64 does not look childish, or most don't, but what most people are failing to notice is, Gamecube overall is not just a kid console. I admit the cell shading is crap for Zelda, but theres Resident Evil, theres many games that wont be considered "kiddie".

I currently own a PS2 and an X-box.

Yes, Nintendo had the worst mistake of making mini discs, you cant play dvds, so it doesnt live up to the ps2, and the X-Box, you have to buy a thing to play dvds, can you say money whores? However, I really don't care, as long as I have X-BOX Live, than I'm cool.

Well, I'm not a big FPS fan, but I do like Timesplitters 2. I didn't like goldeneye, but it was fairly good for a console FPS at the time. The thing that bugged me was the turning and aiming system in it, how you had to stop to do it.

Since TS2 has on the fly aiming, this isn't a problem anymore. Not to mention how there's bots, and of course, a monkey.
