As none of you know or care, I am trying to eat healthy for a month: http://www.thepoxbox.com/what.php?id=hea lthy
Following a tedious list of what I can't eat, what I can eat and MOST ANNOYING OF ALL, what I MUST EAT, EVERY DAY

So let's go!
Starting weight: 162 pounds

======

I woke up this morning and I realized the long list of shit I have to cook today. So first off I tried to put as many things from the list as I could into one dish! I shall hereby refer to this paste as "health paste".

Health paste:

1 cup brussel sprouts
3 medium onions
1 head garlic
1/2 cup tomato paste
2 teaspoons turmeric
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons ground flax seed
3 carrots ( random element )

It's not that bad. In fact it's pretty decent. I need to cook it more next time.
So check back in every day to see how I'm doing! Weee

At least this is an idea from you that seems to involve solid foods. Good work, I wish I had so much effort.

This is filler text.

That actually looks pretty good, but then again it's probably one of those dishes that taste terrible despite how delicious they look/smell.

If I could cook I would probably attempt something similar.

But, I can't, so it's the same ol' shit food for me.

Try going without protein for a couple weeks.

See what happens.

You know, I really hate red wine. The rest isn't so bad but red wine really is horrible. How much is "one glass" anyway? I poured myself like one entire cup yesterday, that seemed like way more. I think I'll stick to the 6 ounce number I keep reading about. That's about 180ml or 3/4 of a cup.

I just want to applaud your effort, whether this succeeds or not. I would never be able to do this, not even for a week, unless I was forced to do so.

So this Health Month, is just eating healthy or does it include exercising regularly?

You're not the main character.

While that's true, there's a difference between types of protein. Protein is a collective term; certain sources of protein don't necessarily fulfill the human body's need for all of them. Out of approx. 20 necessary proteins that the human body requires, a certain number of them are able to be synthesized within the human body under normal circumstances. The rest must come from nutritional intake.

While beans and legumes and nuts and the like provide protein, they may not necessarily provide all the necessary types. The same goes for meats. To consume all the necessary types of proteins, a balanced diet that includes both meat protein and non-meat protein is necessary.

Good for you, pox.

As a New Years resolution I've been trying to stay fit since January, working out and running for a while in the mornings everyday, so far I'm doing quite well.

Soy has proteins in it, yes. Fish should provide you some of the proteins you can't find in beans, soy, etc., so it's a good idea to have it. Some seafood might not be that good for you, though, so make sure you're careful. Shrimp, for example, has quite a bit more cholesterol than, say, crab legs. However, the cholesterol in shrimp may be the "good" cholesterol people talk about, so don't write it off just yet.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa. WHOA. I know eating better is hard, but eating very specific things everyday? Thats hardcore pox. I'm currently on an anti-diet to gain some weight and build some muscle, but I don't have a MUST EAT LIST. Hardcore.
