Hey guys, is it true that Macromedia Dreamweaver adds invisable tags to the coding that can't be edited? Is there anyway to convert like shtml in dreamweaver so that these tags aren't in there?

I'm not sure what you mean by invisible tags, but I think that's kinda rediculous. If you think you're not seeing something in dreamweaver, open the same file in Notepad and see if there is anything new there.

Like extra tags added on that you can see in Dreamweaver, but ones others can't edit out of dreamweaver.

Huh? You can edit out anything. You just open it in a text program and delete it.

Dreamweaver is shitty anyways.

If you're using template files in DreamWeaver, you can only edit what belongs to the template in the template file itself (at least while editing it in DreamWeaver).

Like all WYSIWYG packages, DreamWeaver adds code which you simply don't need, and tends to format the code strangely (unless you fiddle about with the code format settings).

It does have its uses, but you should be aware of its flaws if you're using it for large projects. We use it at work to make life easier for the design team..... And I find that it interferes with the way I arrange PHP code.

Dah! I use Dreamweaver, I love it... I find it easy to use, and 4 is sweet with the built in code editer, but I'm still far too fond of HomeSite 4.5 :)

Hey! At least it's not FrontPage ;)

Dreamweaver is as bad as a Page Builder will get, Cause you gotta waste money on all that other Macromedia crap for it to work good.
