I was wondering what you guys think of this. I've worked pretty much on it and I think the movement works by now. Just check for details and grammar errors. There is one thing wich may looks a little strange. When you're standing on a ledge mario's spacing(lol) a little. i must say, it's pretty good, but are you able to get past the third areas? cuz if so then thats a glitch.

it was a solid platform engine. It needs a run button I thought, at least for my crap computer it went too slow.
Also at first I thought it was a glitch I could walk through the far right wall.. it needs to tell you that that is where you are suppose to go.
Also it needs a bit more of a challenge, I know its just a start but you asked for suggestions :) :) Needs some spikes or baddies or something. Also maybe if you could use the hammer while you're moving to attack baddies. :)

yes, this is just the movement and the action-reaction for the hammer. A run button sounds neat, I can try what I can do. And you can't past the third wall in the level where theere's no scrolling. thanks guys :)

pretty good. the sound starts bit off after hit i think. the bar on top annoy me. move the heart, dont like it behind the number and move the coin also.

yeah, about the bar. I fill that one up with all kinds of stuff. The was actually a coin bar under it but there are no coins, right now. I CAN remove the coin, isn't much of a deal though,\.

I'm glad you fixed the glitch where you could hold the hamer button. Also, Maybe you should set the default quality to medium? It lagged my computer.

The whole platform engine was solid, and worked perfectly in my opinion. Graphics was great. It could almost be called BETA already, if it was a bit longer...
Good luck on this project, looking forward to seeing it finished.

1. Better drawing/artwork 2. Better animation 3. easier to control 4. Good start :P
You need to make a menu though, like your old one, maybe the WII version though. . .

thanks for comments, I should indeed make a quality button but I forgot about it. The project is already a little futher than this, these are the first 3(tutorial)levels :)

ok ok Update, making a running button was easy :) Hold control while walking and Mario walks faster :o Problem is: he can't jump while running to the left. I seriously dunno why he can jump + run to the right and can't do that to the left. When you turn, the player should turn as a animation or coded. Like xscale-- or ++ if you get what i mean :)

Level with the rising sand is the last one. It's a dead end there (If you manage to survive :O) Dunno what to say more...

Not bad. How about putting an FPS counter so we can see where it lags? Maybe that'll help you understand the why.
And how about the type of jumping that makes you go higher if you press the key longer? I forgot the name... A quick tap will jump the minimum ammount, where as to holding it down a bit will jump its highest.
Sounds were good. Art is great. Rock-solid platformer.

Just a quick update here. I will not post any updates from now showing more content of the game but here is a small list of what I still have to before its all finished.
- Because I'm too lazy to animate I will create no more than 3 different enemies. Be happy, world 1 had only goomba's - A storyline (small cutscenes) Don't think of real fully animated scenes. Just tweens :D - Moar levels ('course) - A boss (doesn't count as enemy) - Eventually bonus levels or an extra mode after you finished the game. - ...
There's probably something I forgot so that's where this ... is for. plz give me the time to finish this bitch off, as soon there's something imporatant I have to say about the game you can find it here.

Stuck with some coding atm, I want to fix the damage spam bug from World 1. You know, Maio keeps taking damage as long he's in contact with something that hurts him. I want him to be immortal for 3 seconds after he gets hit by something but it isn't really working out ;(
Someone can help a little?
