I never quite understood that either, but then again having sex underage where I'm from isn't generally frowned upon in the first place. Not to say it's encouraged, but the people I know tend to be very liberal.

I'm a virgin, but I have noticed how different teens become after losing their virginity. They act and think much differently.

With hormones and lack of life experience, something as simple and natural as sex can turn from something good into something bad. True, this is not always the case, but it's also rare to see a teenager completely unaffected by having sex.

In short, it's because we are too immature.

I agree with some posts here, and I'll give my two cents.

I think, that if both participants are above age, say, 16, and the guy has a decent job at that point, and can support the consequences of having a child, or in a worst case, more than one child, then I see no reason as to why it would be bad.

This is also a huge reason behind everything. Most guys who look for sexual relations before age 20+ generally don't have a job, and don't care, they're just looking for a good time. If that's the case, then yea, it could be bad.

I just think that if you're MATURE enough to handle it, then it's nobody else's business what you do with your life. But, like I said, I'd estimate that 70% of guys, or girls aged anywhere from 15-19 aren't necessarily ready for bad consequences, seeing as the guy probably doesn't have a job, and probably doesn't want to support a family.

Yet, I too believe that having sex is a special thing, but it's not a deed that needs to be shown off about. You share emotion and feelings in a unique way with your partner, something you shouldn't tell anyone else. It may compromise your privacy, or that of your partner.

I think people should just do it when they please at a conciderable age, protected of course, and that nobody should think anything bad about it. If they do, that's their problem but there's nothing they have to be able to do to stand in the way of life.

What's wrong with underage sex? Well what isn't wrong with it?! Think about it people. A girl in highschool gets pregnant. Now she has two options the way i look at it. Talk to her mom about it and put the baby up for adoption or somethin, or keep it and have to drop out of school to take care of it. If you choose to keep it, your life is basically ruined. Just my opinion.

What are you, some kind of ageist? You may be able to show me a fancy chart that shows adults have more self control, but that doesn't apply to every last one. To say otherwise is just stupid. If a couple wants to avoid the possibilities of sex but still pleasure each other, I don't see a problem with oral sex.

There's nothing morally wrong with it, but kids should e focused on activities and things that are important and useful to them relative to their age.

Any person younger than 18(and maybe 17) should be focused on school and just having fun with their friends and/or other people their own age. Yes, they can date, but nothing beyond that. I just don't see a reason why they should have sex, you can argue that it's the "cycle of life blah blah blah" but if they're NOT HAVING CHILDREN then how is it a cycle of life? Yes, it is instinctual, but holy shit is it THAT important? Especially if something happens neither of you are prepared for? There's almost no such thing as a "mentally mature" person younger than 18 or 17 without regurgitating something their parents or pastor said.
