Main article.

Basically, they are changing the nursery rhyme 'What shall we do with a drunken sailor'' because it isn't very pc.

What do you think about the government raping your childhood?

I think Political Correctness is a dumb corruption that will eventually kill our languages. You can't say anything these days without causing something "offensive" because of it...

The article is about a bunch of dumb-asses at a publishing company, not the government.

However, the government loves to crush our rights when it fits their agenda.

"Drunken sailors" have been removed from the lyrics of a nursery rhyme in a government-funded books project.

Political correctness is fucking pathetic. I should have the right to know that I stand above others in society, but that's not allowed anymore.

Fuck this, I'm moving to a country with a far more corrupt (and therefore working) government.

EVERY ONE OF YOU IS FUCKING RETARDED:

"But the Bookstart charity says the re-writing of What Shall We Do With the Drunken Sailor? has 'absolutely nothing to do with political correctness'."

The article then continues on to further explain why the publishers were merely fitting the book to a 'pirate' theme, simply recycling an old tune for a new use.

Anyone can say anything, but you know that song was changed for political correctness.

*I think

Funny how you manage to discredit your own sentence within the span of itself. Anyway, not everyone's as cynical as that. If they say they weren't changing it for political correctness, that's enough for me. What would it take to prove it to you? Would you actually have to see the book/song/whatever in question to believe that there's a pirate theme? Do you believe they have a motivation to lie to the public about whether or not they made something politically correct on purpose? There's no capitalistic motivation... apparently they're already under contract to produce this in the first place.

Every one of you is in such a rush to believe whatever you want about the way things are. You cry conspiracy at the drop of a hat. WHO GIVES A SHIT!? The drunken-sailor is not going to be changed, EVER. It's one of those cultural folk songs that's been passed down for generations.

It's retarded that a government scheme decides to come along, grab an old, old rhyme and destroy it because they want it to be more friendly and fun.

This too will pass.
