I'm currently working on a zombie point &click adventure so knowing how to draw a bite wound is crucial. I already looked up the tutorials, but most of them just don't help (they are miserably explained or consist of pictures without text). So what I now need to know is the colour you guys use for blood, maybe some tips on how to draw a wound (especially gunshot wounds and bite marks) and if that's possible, maybe a kind of gut tutorial, although that's not necessary.
I'd use bitmaps for that, just like a splat. Play with blending modes for best results. Just google "blood splat" images for some inspiration
This is my new site: ryanspeets.com
Heres a few:
The Ultimate Stick Tutorial (Has Blood Part)
The Extreme Stick Tutorial (Has Blood Part Too)
These are only a few. All you have to do is do a search on Newgrounds, or Google.

Blood color depends on the surface. For white surfaces use this colour #E30202
For darker surfaces or poorly lit areas use #B10101
Then shade it with variants of those colours and try to add light reflections and effects
K. Thank you for the help so far :)
