one great band playing these days is Inner Terrestrials. its kind of like skapunk but with dub\reggae instead of ska, and they don't suck at the punk thing.
Restarts are great, also.
and, for the record, most 80's english and british punk bands are still around today. old punks never die.
cock sparrer, sham 69, exploited, adicts, zounds, gbh, conflict, crass etc are all still playing and touring. i dunno if that answers your question.
