I just love Pink Floyd. They are so different and it makes me think when I listen. Sometimes I just walk in the Rain while I listen to Some Floyd.

I used to be a huge huge huge fan. I've sorta grown apart from Pink Floyd though. <3 The Final Cut though.

Another Brick in the wall pt 2 to be precise, ironic on your behalf.
And no, People I know who claim to like them actually have heard other stuff.

Anyway, I think their music is decent... But I've always kinda felt it's meant for hippies and stoners; which is why I usually only listen to them when I'm baked.

Why is it for hippies and stoners? Personally I always viewed them as for people interested in human emotions and the society at the time, just because a band has 20 minute suites or has lush keyboards doesn't make them tailor made for hippies and stoners, it always degrades the purpose and meaning of the band as a whole.

They're in my top 3, no change ever.

So they made me their chief...which was nice.

I like Pink Floyd a lot. Their music is very spacey. I like the song Shine On You Crazy Diamond the best. All of their music is really quite masterful and well thought-out. Pink Floyd really requires a more intellectual viewpoint to be truly appreciated.

Your right in a Way. But Alot of people know it for the "Dark Side of the Moon" Sync with the "Wizard of Oz" or the "Echoes" Sync with "2001 Space Odyssey". I love most of their albums because as I said before, their different. Echoes is by Far my favorite song even though its 26 minutes long.

In all honesty, I not a huge Pink Flyod fan, but I do respect those who are. I mainly like most their stuff from before they're famous. Like "Astronomy Donomy" and stuff like that

Can't stand them. Their music gives me a headache for some reason, even though the music I enjoy would probably by most people be considered more headache-inducing than Pink Floyd.

The problem with some people is that they say they hate Pink Floyd when they don't even know what prog rock is.

I love them. Their ideas are clever, they have been consistent with brilliant albums, the lyrics can be very powerful and they are immensely relaxing.

Also, personally, I can't listen to just a Pink Floyd song. Then, I can understand why people wouldn't like them. You have to listen to a whole album. Pink Floyd are not for quick sessions.

Used to be a huge fan a few years back (I even started the Newgrounds Floydian Society). Recently, kinda faded out of that. But they have a place in my heart, and my CD collection; if only collecting dust.

I don't take revenue from my profile.

Well, I started listening to Pink Floyd last year, around January. I wanted to see how their music sounded so I downloaded a couple of songs. I said, "Hey this sounds pretty good. I need to get an album of this." So I got Dark Side of the Moon (I downloaded some albums first). I think one reason I got into Pink Floyd was because I wanted something calming to workout to.

Ever since, I have bought 4 more Pink Floyd albums (Animals, The Wall, The Division Bell, and Wish You Were Here), and I have downloaded all of their albums for my iPod. I have to say, they really span a lot of cool music stylings. I suggest going beyond the albums from Animals to The Wall. Listen to Meddle. One of their greatest works that really inspired that gracefulness of Dark Side of the Moon. Listen to Piper at the Gates of Dawn for a pre-Gilmour taste of the band. And last, but not least, listen to The Final Cut, to really see how the band has evolved from being a psychedelic wonder to a concept king.

I've got 14 of their albums. I think it's pretty much all of them.

They're a great band, very atmospheric in a lot of cases and serve as good gateway progressive rock, although some of their albums are pretty boring (More, Ummugumma CD 2). I'd recommend trying Porcupine Tree, Kansas, King Crimson, ELP, Magma and Rush if you like Pink Floyd.

Yes, other prog bands, like ELP, king Crimson, and Rush are also mesmorizing in their own, little ways.

A bit of a generic choice, but I still say Dark Side and Animals are their two best.

Overrated.

And if you don't like them, people tend to get pissed, like it's an obligation.

How does that song so drastically differ from the rest of their work that it's the on exception to your disliking of them? I could understand if it was a rather different song, but it's not. It has a very similar sound to a lot of their discography.

Alone with nothing but headphones and your desktop computer, there is no music more depressing, weird, thought provoking and ecstatic than listening to The Wall, The Dark Side of The Moon or Wish You Were Here from start to finish.

That is just my opinion, I love 'em.

I only heard of them from Newgrounds, and at the same time, I've never heard any of their stuff.
