What would gain your respect in an NG'er?
How long they've been on here? How many posts? Their flash contributions to NG? Or possibly how fantastic another NG'er is at crushing the life out of another users thread/spirit/purpose for living?
.....There was a hole. *sig by LimitedMortality*
Post count, contributions does count, but I usually leave it up to their general maturity.
I don't even know anymore.
I think if you asked last year, you'd get different answers than what you'd get now.

It mainly depends upon the person who is behind the level, posts, flash contributions, and psychotic evil. Moderation status (gold aura) is also a defining element in a Newgrounds user as well.
It's the person and their principles.

Being helpful is a sight for sore eyes, so it counts man, it counts.
I'd say content of posts and submissions, though after that shape n' line thing I'm not sure any of that matters anymore.

For the record i'm neutral in this one

As maturity on this site gradually dwindles, any and all of the things you stated could be used to get some form of 'respect', it's a shame really.
What good is respect though? This site is supposed to be primarily used for flash artists, but it's userbase is generally on the forums vying for this e-respect using bad grammar and shitty jokes. It's a mess, looking for something witty on this general board is like looking for needle in a universe of haystacks. Fuck respect, go it alone, if someone doesn't like you for who you are, then they can go fuck themselves.
Post count, maturity, sign-up date(maybe), and to some people you're level.
These Newground users are obnoxious seeign as they are picky about the ones they choose.

Morals and post quality. That's pretty much it.
But I don't respect the lollipops, mainly because most of them are alts or ten year-olds trying to act cool.

Someone which is really really good at flash, someone that got all the
flash portal full in 4.00+ games.
Anyone who can post with proper grammar has respect in my book.

Ability to do a pull up and a diet that didn't consist of junkfood?

How does this sound. I "Respect" NG users who don't have hentai or anime in there signatures. And I also "respect" NG users who don't make useless threads. Happy?

Post count and sign up date are the biggest factors. The quality of the posts doesn't matter.

Not at all. Sign up date is useless. And post count is useless. If you can't get the point of your post across then there is no reason for you to be in the BBS.

I respect those who are mature, and have a good posting quality. That means that having 10,000+ posts is useless if they are bad and spammy. It's impossible to judge a person just because of his/her post count.
normally I just view their favourite flashes/flash submissions as a guess at how respectable they could be.
time on here isn't that big of a deal, nor is posts imo.
I tend to respect anyone who is Mature, Witty, Helpful and just on a whole a decent contributer to the BBS.
*Sshhh... I'm an NSA spy bot
Post count and sigs;
People with funny sigs are probably funny or witty at some level etc.
People with more posts are whores.
There are exceptions.
You're not one of them.
i usually respect people who have correct grammar, +1000 posts, are original, higher level than 2, witty and funny.
uhoh, that means i don't respect myself

You respect me?!

All of the above, except for the crushing the life out of another users thread/spirit/purpose of living, such aspects deserve no respect, and serve even less purpose, mostly. The most important qualification is their effort levels, efficiency and personality though. I respect people with good humor, smart people, witty people, people who post reviews with more than a hundred words each, etc. Amount of EXP/BP/All that is the main defining factor though.

Funny posts, good art, interesting/thought provoking users. Anyone of those.

If they are not assholes to me or being one on the BBS then they got my respect.
to me, its what they contribute to any given thread im reading. If i repeatedly pair their alias with something inteligent or hilarious for me to read, I take a mental note of their alias until i learn it. Occasionally, I'll dive their post history and see if there's more that I agree with/disagree with, or that i find entertaining. Maturity is a huge factor. And then respect is gained.
and although the pure dedication of years of commitment is particularly impressive, it's more their participation in epic and legendary threads and inside jokes and contributions to the forum that really have me admiring.
Postcount; not so much. It's always quality>quantity for me.
