Seeing as I want to stick around for as long as possible, and we might be in a club (forget might, we must), I can imagine people going to get some sleep at the time when no trains ride. Getting a room in a hotel is a waste seeing as I live a 15 minute trainride away from Amsterdam, and getting a cab is even worse.

Anyone up for a suggestion?

How late do trains run?
In london we ran past the train time but people just shuttled themselves into cabs.. when its split up into a few people its not that bad.
I doubt we'll be going clubbing everyday anyway, so like max 2 days youll have to put up with getting a cab. thats not that big of a deal. Just bite the bullet and get your ass in a cab.
Its only like a 3 day event, we arent going to be there all month taking cabs and eating lobster.

Last year we split up into groups to get into clubs in London, i would suggest making an effort to wear something nice. You dont have to be all drapped in Gucci or something just get some decent shoes and clean presentable clothes and youre fine. All im saying is if the majority of the group gets in and you get denied because you are wearing your sweatpants with shitstains on em, then youre going to be a very lonely person cause you were strongly urged to dress accordingly and nobody is going to want to ruin their night because you were too cool to listen.

Another issue we had last year was going to the clubs too late. I dont really mind being early, cause we are a group and worst case scenario we can just talk to each other at the bar or whatever. Its not like your going to be there all alone. Usually its free or cheaper to go there when its just gettin started.

Lastly, this particular meet doesnt really have a hardcore agenda...ill be posting a vague one on that hub page later this week. But you are welcome to skip things that you dont feel like being part of. Im trying a more laid back approach this time. Montreal meet last year was laid back and it worked out well, one group hung out at a bar ... another went to a hookah bar, later on we got together and went elsewhere as a group. you dont have to hold mah hand the whole time, unless you want to lmao.

I just spoke to my parents, they said i can go!

The club i went to in amsterdam opened at 12 midnight.. that was crazy.

And the only thing gonna be hardcore at this meet is the pornography in the sex shops :D

Regarding to trains - they ride to approx. 12:30 in my experience. There are night trains to the bigger cities though, same with busses around Amsterdam. The metro/tram lines also ride till around 12-12:30.

Evildog: I haven't been to Escape in years, but the way you described it, it sounds like it has improved a lot since I have been. The square you were at is Rembrandplein which I mentioned earlier, it has a lot of bars/clubs/restaurants so we will definitely go there! I guess if they have multiple floors now that are open we could check it out if it's not too expensive.

Oh, and I'm here to burst your bubble before you actually try to go there and be disappointed - The Heineken Experience has been closed for well over a year now and isn't reopening any time soon, I think.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. Blind faith is an ironic gift to return to the Creator of intelligence.

Hmmm that's weird, since I sent some students to work over there a few months ago to give tours and bar duties? Maybe it's a different museum we're talking about? Hmmm :)

Newgrounds come together from all over to light up. Magnificent. That would actually be a hell of a lot of fun. WHO WANTS TO SPIT ROAST A HOOKER WITH ME?

Hmm...
I talked to my boss about this, just trying myself, and the answer she gave me was pretty unexpected :

"YOU HAVE TO GO DNBIFBLBLIBDS!!!"

Having a boss that's not 30 yet does have its perks, I must admit. So, if the timing's right at my job and we're not overswamped in tasks, I MAT be able to come. But it's a long shot.

After Luis' post of moral. I feel I should be there. I have never had encounters with drugs, and I plan on staying like that. However, if there will be a group of non-users, the chances of me being there will be far greater. It's also an awesome opportunity for me to practise my Cambridge English, so I can maybe get an extra grade for this.

Only one problem - the 7th of March I'll be going to France with my class. that's a saturday. The days before that, I still have school, and the next sunday, the last day for you, the 8th, I am so dead, since I will arrive at roughly 4:00 in the morning from France.

Choices choices...
Oh, and I'm not even 16 then, FUCK THIS

You should be fairly good, first of all you can't get into a coffeeshop if you <16, secondly, I'm sure there will be a group of people that won't be interested in trying marijuana (it's really not something you'll miss).

But before this whole meet is gonna go underway there really should be a plan (what are we gonna do and where and also where are you lot gonna sleep :P)

Luis will set up a plan (not a very exact one though) and already made a post showing his hotel. As for me, I'll be sleeping at home since I live nearby.

I'm sure there's some cheap quality hotels around though.

For accomodations (easy acces at least): Amsterdam tourist information , I'd recommend looking only at youth hostels since they tend to be the cheapest ;-)

Thanks a bunch for that! I think youth hostel might be the best option for me!
