However, if anime characters came out of nowhere in this world, it would look weird, and some would be horribly intolerable.

Eye licking aside, I think it'd be a terrible thing. I may love anime, but unless it's something like Lucky Star or Kannagi then it'd be terrible, and Lucky Star or Kannagi would just be my life, only cuter.
