Well, I got though with the demo yesterday. It is an awesome game, even when not compared to it's predecessor. There were only two things in it that made me sad:

1) Leon's gone. :(

2) No more suitcase. :(

Other than that, though, it's really cool. I noticed a lot of really nice touches they added. There was a pretty good "Are you kidding me!?" moment I had where I thought I was safe by running onto rooftops, only to see the zombies climb up, and jump over at me from every direction. I suppose the radar is a nice addition too.

For some reason, I don't really like it when games are set in extremely humid areas such as Africa.I like it when games have cooler enviroments (colder), and I honestly don't think it fits the a horror game to have it in Africa. But, whatever, if anybody can make it work, it's Capcom. And if the co-op works nearly as well as it did in Left 4 Dead, consider me sold.

I agree it may sound weird but id rather play in a colder looking envirement as well.

my sentiments exactly. They turned it from a Survival Horror, to an Enemies Everywhere Run and Shoot kinda game to me. still very fun to play, and more action packed, but come on, the puzzles in RE4 SUCKED. altho the slider puzzle had me boggled for 15 minutes first time. *hated those damn things as a kid, and i still hate them*

In RE, you were afraid to go around the corner because there might be a zombie, or worse, a hunter. In RE4, and most definitely 5, it's just getting mobbed by a bunch of ganados or the new guys. Altho the Regenerators scared me. >_<

Still, when i get a 360, or if my bro in law gets a ps3, i'm gonna play it. X3 Wesker looks badass!

My bad, I just realised the inspiration. Left trigger to aim and right trigger to fire, X for the action like picking stuff up and open doors, A to run.

That's it.

You can change between different control sets. I believe that there is a RE4 control scheme.

Oh, and the black guy with a chainsaw is now named Fluffy.

I really cant wait to play RE5 its probably gonna be one of the best 3rd Person games i've played!

and i like the idea of Co-Op that outta make things intresting!

One thing that bugs me a little is the Chainsaw Maniacs if you have full health it takes 3/4 of your health off instead of a 1-hit kill they shoulda kept it like RE4 where if you get hit by the chainsaw your dead just to make it a bit more challenging

Pretty much a one hit kill for Sheva, so the challenge there is actually protecting her from Chainsaw Guy.

Too bad the Resident Evil 5 demo for PS3 is coming out either tonight or next week.
The GT Demo comparison showed almost no difference, although i know everyone is just going to go with what ever system they like better. The PS3 version is brighter (video settings?). Which makes the PS3 textures look more washed out.

The PS3 version of Resident Evil 5 has a 5 gig install. This is one of the reasons why I wont get multiplat games for the PS3. Sucks for 40 gig owners.

If I were to install RE5 to my 360 hard drive, it will take 6.5 GB of space.

Also, apparently the 360 has a slight graphical edge (self shadowing,) but then, the 360 build was ahead of the PS3.

Yeah but but there lies the difference. The 360 installation is optional, the PS3 mandatory. If games have slight graphical differences it doesn't really sway me either way. As long as they both look slick I'm fine with that.

Missing smoke\heat haze effects on the PS3, although Vsync is enabled, which stops the screen tearing which appears on the 360, at the cost of framerate drops. Also, smoke appears thicker on the 360.

Apparently, the engine that Capcom is using has problems on the PS3.

Yeah, the guy fucked up during the interview.

I would be very pissed off if they dumbed the game down in that way.

Yeah, the only people that want that are such pricks.

Go to any kotaku article and look at the comments,5/6th of them will be people talking about how they aren't going to play this game because of how "horrid" the controls are,"why can't i run and shoot at the same time?! this game has horrid controls"

Motherfucker, this is Resident fucking Evil, fight or flight.

And they always try to sound like they don't actually hate the game, they just don't like it,yet they will disagree with every bastard who comments on the game are positive.

The first level was easy. It felt like the helicopter comes faster depending on how little health and ammo you have left.

The second level, on the other hand, took me three tries. Each time the chainsaw guy got me. This is because of his unexpected AI - sometime you can keep shooting at him until he gets near and it will take him like 5 seconds to try and chainsaw you, and sometimes he'll chainsaw you on the spot. I think his health amount is way too much as well.
