Ok, so I really really like 3xOsc.
...
No, I really, really, like 3xOsc.
I want something new though. I haven't experimented too much with multiple 3xOscs for one sound, but I feel like that would be a waste of time given the limitations of 3xOsc (wait, someone tell me what these are)
Anyway, I have the full version of Sytrus- should I just learn that, or are there any good free VST synths that will be easy for me to migrate my knowledge of 3xOsc to? Or is it even worth switching?

My vote is for Sytrus, although in special circumstances can take up a lot of cpu
Sytrus, with its useful but few presets, you can make anything in it sound entirely new, just by playing with a few sliders or knobs.

Google "Tweakbench VST".
They've got a lot of good free ones there, though some are fairly confined to a single genre. Depends what you're going for.
