I recently saw that movie, and I thought it had some good parts but I didn't really like it.
I personally don't think it should be up for 13 oscars.
Among those are:
Nominated: Best Picture
Nominated: Best Director: David Fincher
Nominated: Best Actor: Brad Pitt
Nominated: Best Supporting Actress: Taraji P. Henson
Nominated: Best Adapted Screenplay: Eric Roth
Nominated: Best Film Editing
Nominated: Best Cinematography - Claudio Miranda
Nominated: Best Art Direction
Nominated: Best Costume Design
Nominated: Best Makeup
Nominated: Best Original Score: Alexandre Desplat
Nominated: Best Sound Mixing
Nominated: Best Visual Effects
While some are no-brainers to win, do you really think that it should win Best Picture of the Year?

Also, and this may just be me, but once I heard that David Fincher directed it, I was surprised. I liked 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, but this seemed like a far away change from those.
What are your thoughts on the subject?

If the greatest movie ever made (300) can't win every award known to man, this movie doesn't stand a chance.

The real reason people like this movie: there's two alliterations. Curious & case, and Benjamin & Button. It's cute, interesting, and it has flow. What's not to like. Titles matter man!

I thought it was a good movie. It feels a bit sluggish for a while, but it gets back its pace.

Wasn't that the one that was similar to Forrest Gump, where it ran through his life, only in reverse?

Woah, those are way too many oscars! Sure it was a good movie, but that amount is just insane, there have been so much better cinematrical pieces the past year that didn't recieve a single one!

Ok, I admit. Slight screw-up on my part.

Danny Boyle did 28 Days Later.
David Fincher also did such films as Fight Club and Seven.

David Fincher did this, not Danny Boyle.

Crap...I didn't see that it was so similar. Should have been able to pick that up.

I saw the woman who plays Benjamin's mum on Jay Leno. That bitch is really full of herself.
