I've always wanted to ask the newgrounds community this question, Why can't you blam/protect audio or gain experience for voting on audio submissions? like i think their should be two diffrent levels/badges one for Flash and one for Audio but that's just my opinion what's yours?

you flash voting power affects how much your voting power is on audio, but you don't get experience or anything. I think audio experience would be a cool feature though

Yeah... i suppose... but the more people who suggest this, the more likely it will happen.

I think that if we had an user-based audio portal then it would be complete chaos. Blamming and protection isn't in the audio portal since it's all down to the audio moderators, and in my opinion that's a good thing.

It's a different system, I don't think the Newgrounds team want to spend time making an equal system as the flash portal, since after all the Audio Portal will always be inferior.

If there was a audio blam and protect system, we would see a lot of the spam audios to be deleted, it would be a neat feature, but if they implemented that.

Then, well, it would just like the Flash Portal.

sonce not many people vote on Audio, every vote can drastically affect the scores, and it would become very easy to get a free blam or save point

I vote because I like the audio. You should see my favorites with loops n shits. This also reminds me to clean it up a bit, it's got a bunch of shit, too.

Its a useless idea. Most people on NewGrounds concentrate on flash. And the pople that submit audio are almost always good artists. Which brings us to the conclusion...

It would be cheap to blam and protect music because 99.9% of the music submitted is not crap!

It's mostly other audio artists voting zero on everyones stuff, then they five their own and it goes to the top and gets attention.

I don't believe this is a very great idea, solely for the fact that as soon as an audio file is uploaded, it's often immediately zeroed by either other artists, or just assholes that don't vote honestly.

Not a good idea. More attention means more zero bombers, and I think we have enough of them already.

Where an audio mod has to approve your first song. The reason there is no blam / save though, is because the Audio Portal does not get enough traffic. Normally by the time a submission reaches the bottom of the "recently submitted list", it only has maybe 5 or 10 votes on average.

So there are basically too many artists, and not enough listeners. Or too many artists that don't spend time reviewing and voting other peoples tracks.

If people could gain experience on the songs though, I think it would help get more of the artists some exposure.

the only good reason i can come up with is that audio is provided for flash authors for free use and NG dose not want to scare off possible submitters with the threat of possible rejection.

Always wanted to? You've been here 1 day. Oh and because music has different aspects and people would just blam a kind of music they don't like.

Technically, Flash B/P points are more often used and gained than any other point. Besides, we don't need Audio B/P points since it will get the Audio Mods out of a job

i think certain ppl would get blams for no reason simply because some people arent very musically open

sorta like we get alot of zero bombs for no reason, since 11 year olds think it will help there score "be on teh top 5 MAN, if i 0 EVERYONE, MABYE MY JUNK WILL HIT 5!!!! JUST MABYE!!!!!"
