Well it is possible...
If you want to completely remove the Recycle Bin, go to Start > Run and type regedit.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wi ndows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\BitBucket/ C and open NukeOnDelete. Change the value to "1" and reboot.

I did that once, and it took me forever to figure out how to get it back..not really sure why I wanted it back so much, I mean, I just right click everything anyways...BUT THAT'S BESIDE THE POINT.

It's obvious you can change the name and icon of a file. I've changed all the icons on my friends computer once time to the Utorrent symbol, and all all the titles to are gay. It would've been funnier if he had more than 5 things on his desktop.
Deleteing copies of the recycling bin is highly possible.

You deleted the desktop shortcut. The actual disk space reserved for the recycle bin and the ability to navigate to it with explorer AND it's functionality still exists.

Or you could have made a document or folder called 'The Recycle Bin', and changed it's icon to the Recycle Bin icon, and deleted that.
