Right, so after responding within minutes, it suddenly takes you hours to respond.

Had to be somewhere.
Came back to check on our discussion.
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

i will have to side with jack u just can't beat him at anything.
Ledger has a very slight edge. Jack did a great job by making the joker more of a psycho but Ledger did this while also making him funny. So that is why Ledger wins.

There are also so many discrepancies between their acting styles. I think that Jack was just being Jack. I've seen him in other movies, and he always seems to have that demented sort of humor.
However, I saw a slight bit of Brokeback Mountain and I almost didn't realize that it was the same actor as in the Dark Knight! I think Heath delivered a perfect performance, and he was able to put his own personality aside and almost become The Joker. What I'm trying to say is that Heath personified the character of The Joker in a way that Jack was unable to.

Comparing Jack Nicholson with Heathe Ledger is like comparing Jack Nicholson with Cesar Romero.

jack gave off plenty of mad man vibe .....
I liked Jack as the Joker but I think the psychopathic version that was Ledger's was much much more interesting and entertaining to watch, and thats how I imagined him in my head after reading the comics.

if you never saw Jack how can you even have an opinion of Ledger V Nicholson?
I think Ledger was much better seeing as he portrayed what Nicholsan didnt and that was the real true insanity and cruelity of the Joker. I really dont think Nicholsan could have pulled it off quite like Ledger did.
Oh and another thing alot of people dont know and might mistake. Originally the Joker was a psycopathic killer and not the funny guy you saw in the first movie and in the cartoons. He killed at least 50 people in the first three issues. Christopher Nolan decided to go with the original and Ledger spent many hours practicing everything and writing in journals as if he was the Joker. I think he really took this character to another level, a level that most method actors cant possible reach.

Interesting, although if that's true it's hard to find.

Jack was an exaggeration of a psycho but he did it well heath ledger was if he was a psycho
i guess jack
they are to different
The question is, who is the better Joker.
Jack WAS the Joker; A PERFECT portrial of the comic book Joker.
Between the two, I liked Heath a lot more but the obvious answer to the question is Jack.
