Energy Drink drinkers.

This might sound a little off, but after a day and a half of no sleep and just for giggles wanting to give it a go. I wanted to try my first Energy Drink (aside from Vault but I wouldn't consider that a true blue 'Energy Drink').

I decided to go with NOS Grape, and to be honest, it was bad. I don't know if this is true for every energy drink, it raises an alarm because what sucked was a very very medicine taste and aftertaste. I was overwhelmed with what tasted like a Grapey Alka-Seltzer. Which I hope it's not true for all energy drinks, because I'm really looking forward to trying out Wired x505 Energy Drink since I found a store that sells it near me.

Anyway, the question I beg is. Do all energy drinks overwhelm you with like a medicine taste, or just general shitty taste?

Red Bull and Tiger are the best in my opinion. If you have Relentless in the US try that.

I dunno if you're going for calling them Red Bull clones. Like I said, I have never tried an energy drink prior to today.

Mind the double post, but I heard Red Bull was just as bad on the medicine taste as other energy drinks.

I don't want to go with Red Bull because of how medciore it is on ingredients (it would take 6.5 Red Bulls to match up to a Wired x505).

Anyone have personal experience with 5 Hour Energy, or Mana Potion energy drink? (I read it has an AMAZING taste.)

Red Bull doesn't taste like medicine, at least to me. In fact, I only drink energy drinks because I like the taste of most of them. Some, though, are nasty, like you said.

I have come across one I didn't like, and I was in France at the time.

For the most part, I made this thread to guide where I'll start experimenting. I drank like, half the NOS and it woke me up, not like jittery or anything, but I'm definitely more aware.

Like I said, the medicine taste sucked so much dick. I can barely chug down a cup full of Alka-Seltzer. The last thing I want to do is chug down 16-24oz of the shit.

Monster, you can't go wrong. All the others just kind of taste the same with tiny differences. Monster has a unique flavor that like all others, is an acquired taste, but gets so delicious once you're used to it. Assault is my personal favorite.

the taste of NOS is not what you should associate the taste of an energy drink with. Rockstar has the "energy" taste but is kind of bitter, and Monster (my favorite) has the same basic energy taste but is sweet.

To the OP, of course it sucked, you got grape energy drink. Grape soda is fine, but when added with the shit that makes and energy drink, it is pretty bad. I abse this off the awful taste of Monster Mixxd. (grape) I do want to try Wired 505, but I haven't found a store around here that sells it. Try the passionfruit NOS, it is really sweet flavored.

It's all about the kind of energy drink. I've only drank a couple, but one was nasty, the other was okay, and they all make you burp like crazy. And I got no effects whatsoever of energy when I drank it.
