As long as he's doing it right -- which he is -- it's cool.

Also, they played Clair de Lune in that Twilight movie, now all the teenies call it "Beautiful Twilight Piano Music".

So? I'd be much more irritated that today, people know Dick Dale's "Misirlou" as "Pulp Fiction", or even worse: "Pump It". Fucking re-using old songs. I'd make it illegal. There's an endless number of combinations of notes, instruments and percussions, so why do hell do jackasses need to ruin old songs that are genuinely awesome? Like Madonna re-using "Gimme Gimme Gimme" and other shit. Just pisses me off.

Here's mine, as I was too tired to get it out and take a pic yesterday.
It's a pretty good thingie, and that little sponge in there is great to wipe the tin of the iron tip.
And temperature regulation with digital readout = win. As not all components are to be soldered at the same temperature.

With a sick ass station like like im surprised you are not circuit bending anything.. if you are please send me a recording.. i have yet to have a conversation with a real circuit bender. Start Circuit bendin!!! lol

Circuit bending is something I want to get into... sometime.

I generally lack things to bend, though.

I just picked up a Speak and Spell for $1.

I wasn't going to circuit bend it, but then I discovered that you can't actually make it say what you want it to...you're limited to the 200 word internal vocabulary.

So now I'm having second thoughts...

I have a pretty dedicated zero voter at the moment. Every day for the last few weeks my newest ten songs drop below a three. Who has that kind of free time anyways? I mean, I don't care much for scores, but some little kid is waisting his life on the internet, slaving away at giving people low scores for nothing and I somehow feel responsible for it :P

Some one needs to stop this kid so he can go outside and get some fresh air.

Circuit bending

For like a month straight, I did nothing but look for youtube vids of cool circuit-bent shit. I would love to do it, though I have a limited knowledge of electronics... and the lack of old goodies laying around.

Well at least you don't get 20 second listeners like I do who never vote. I know that they are 20 second listeners because in one of the songs I uploaded (Which is now deleted) the person had said this in their review. (I will not name him/her but s/he knows who s/he is.) It was just too funny. It was one of my older pieces.

"Dude your music is very boring. Its nothing but percussion for like a million minutes with out even a bass line or so much as a tune."

If he would have just listened to the song for about 30 seconds instead of 20 seconds he would have heard the beat kick up, and the base line slam hard. I won't upload it again though because that song is now uh hm.. making me some* money...

I clicked on his/her profile and listened to some of his/her music.... Nothing but the same old drum loops that come with FLS8 and were not even sliced. And I mean he didn't even put it in the beat slicer to make it stick with the tempo. The guitar was on its own tempo and ruined the flow of it all. If I was drunk I might have thrown up because of it.

I didn't review them or even vote on them because the reviews pretty much told him/her what s/he made was a catastrophe. One even said "Dude. BEAT SLICER.... Its your friend."

3 songs later s/he finally figured it out.

I mean sometimes they aren't even 20 second listeners. They are 2 second listeners and if you don't have a beat within those 2 seconds they go off to the next song to zero bomb because it has a 5 and in that 2 seconds they were not happy.

I actually take the time to listen to music that is original. I don't click on anything like "OMFG ZELDA OoT REMIX MIDI STYLE!" or "Halo humming boring tune song because I felt like remixing it." I will admit that I do listen to SOME* of the Final Fantasy remixes. But if it is another version of the FFVII fight theme. Please... FF2 boss battle theme. (Why hasn't anyone done that one yet? Wait... let me do a quick search... Never mind... Someone has... omfg and it is in Midi... Please kill me now...)

Or the most over-remixed theme of them all... (And I mean of them ALL.)

The Super Duper Techno Hardcore Grungy Pop Punk Metal Acoustically Rock n Roll Funk Dancy trance D n B Mario Brothers Collaboration Collection..........

Thank god they made an entire section for nothing but video game remixes. And you know what is even more funny about this? Listen to about a good 100 of them and you will notice something. THEY ALMOST SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME. Some of them just sound like a sped up version of the last one without changing so much as a beat.

(SERIOUSLY. how many remixes does there have to be? And if someone says not enough I am going to go out and start sabotaging servers!)

(And the only reason why I said that I don't click on them even though I heard all of these remixes was because my friend was looking for one... Oh the horrific torture of watching my friend trying to pick just 1. JUST ONE! He couldn't do it so I finally said. JUST PICK ONE AT RANDOM!)

Anyway for those of you who receive a review from me you will notice that I take the time to actually listen to the song. I just wish that in the portal they would at least show you what category the new music is under...

Meh, I'm more concerned for this kids health. I'm sure he's been waiting all day to zero bomb my songs because it happens every day at around 1 in the morn. If he really is a 13 year old kid, he should be in bed getting sleep so he's ready for school tomorrow. Can't impress the folks with A's if your not getting them because you get no sleep.

As for voting up my songs, I do it, but I feel so fucking lame doing it. Scores don't count for anything, but theres something about having a 2.xx score that just makes me feel shitty. It's like having a dent in your car, but dumber

Ethics

Don't talk to me about ethics. I was up until 4 yesterday morning writing an essay on ethical theories. It was all "golden mean" this, "aristotle" that, "utilitarianism" blah blah blah, "pluralistic theory of value" rabble rabble rabble.
In short: Ethics is not a topic I'm fond of at the moment.

Ethics
Hey, I had to wake up at 6 in the morning so I could correct and help arrange my girlfriend's final high-school work. I had to practically re-write like 16 pages of text. And the topic was nothing less than WOMEN'S RIGHTS. So don't think you're the only one that doesn't like ethics at the moment. And all because of the kindness of my heart. Sometimes I wish I was born a raging psycho. >:P

Ethics papers aren't exactly the most fun you can have. But using Ethics is fun, Even though there was basically no reason for me to study into them. Here I am.

I dislike discussion on the topic because of the fact that 90% of the time, women tend to exaggerate and depict the situation as though we were still in the middle ages. Don't get me wrong: I'm perfectly fine with every single kind of equality, I just hate the people that can't stop whining about it.

And dammit, people, you're on the internet: people's profiles don't need to give correct information. LEARN THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I have nothing whatsoever against Womens rights and whatnot. But it seems as though the only way women can portray there lack of certain things is to exaggerate them to an extreme, and act like women shouldn't be equal, But should be above and beyond anything with a penis.

I mean, Most people who feel strongly about Womens rights tend to be uptight. Its like most colored people won't exactly have a huge fuss over the word 'slave' being used in a sentence. But If I go out and call a lady 'Miss' when shes married, I've insulted her and every other women, And I likely look at porn, and fornicate constantly and have drug problems.

I'm not the stereotypical type, But I notice this with Feminist types.

It's easy enough to say from the point of view of a man. Fact is, you've never had to live in a woman's shoes, not even for a day, and experience the kind of discrimination they have to experience based solely on their gender.

I'd be pretty fucking frustrated too if I was a woman.

And as far as I'm concerned, as far as sexual equality is concerned, we may as well be living in the dark ages.

Yeah man, because shutting up and being ambivalent is surely going to make things better for them, fuck.

That's an incredible generalisation. And pray tell me, why the fuck does a woman have to have three separate titles (mrs, ms, and miss), when one would suffice (for example, in the case of 'mr'). It's an opressive symbol of ownership that should have ceased to exist when men decided to give those pretty little things a retarded semblance of sexual equality.

I can't believe that you even wonder why feminists are uptight and angry. Actually, I can, because you don't seem to have the ability to empathise. Which is a pretty easy trap to fall in when YOU belong to the vastly more privelleged sex.
