Man, back in the day I used to be GhostExile. I saw the word Exile in some RPG I played and thought it sounded cool. So I put Ghost on the front of it, which naturally just made it even cooler.

Then I changed it to Gorglore :3 Yeah, more RPG totally not nerdy at all type stuff.

Then they stopped allowing us to change names, so I requested Tom to change it to Ambimetric, and he did. It was a rushed name I thought of in 2 days when I decided I wanted to make ambient music. Yeah, that's why I never liked it.

Now I'm a super hero who fights crime with sick basslines.
Or, just sits at home maekinbeatz

Gorgoroth is the name of some location in LOTR universe, and I just thought it sounded really cool. I did not name myself after the black metal band. They are decent, but I'm not a huge fan of black metal in particular.

Mine's rather simple. my name's Michaël
So I just took the MICH part, and added himself.
Used that name first time at... Runescape. When I was 13 or so :p

Btw, I'm considering making my full name show up at my audio submissions, would that be a good idea?

Username Origins

Woah, these origins are pretty cool xD
i'll try- though mine is crappy

Well, I was making a myspace for all my crappy music, (eg Mountain Range) and I saw on a men's deodorant it was called, "Zero" , so I thought, "hey, that's a pretty cool name"

So then I came to naming the myspace and "Zero" wasn't available - so I was creative and named maself "-Zero-" xD

It's when I came to naming the URL I though hmmmm, zero. music? */zeromusic' taken.
zero1? taken
zero2
zero3
zero123? taken
zero123music? voila!

so I had to make my newgrounds name teh same xD

and that's the story.

My thoughts precisely.

You clearly don't have lives then if that's all you can relate the name Dexter to.
... he's also a murderer.

Username Origins
Back when I just needed to make myself a Yahoo! account to send my friend some files, I was listening to the song 'Hades' by the Finnish melodic death band Kalmah. I tried to put it in as my username, but it was taken, obviously. I tried appending '13', 'cause I just love to use the number as often as possible- it freaks some people out. XD After it was taken, I went for '0013'. Don't really know why I put in two zeroes. :P

Sweet box

Spent today in the shop making myself a box for my soldering station (a nice hakko dual iron deal. didn't want to carry it around loose.)

If you care enough to see the inside, let me know and I'll post another photo.

Where did my username come from? I'll tell you.

When I was in 8th grade (that would be 3 years ago), My friends called me "Jin from Tekken". With that, they decided to sing this song... something about "sippin on gin and juice"? I'm not sure... Ever since, I have been called JinNJuice.
Sometimes I would spell it as JinNJoos. No difference in pronouncing.

Something needs to go here.

Here the inside be. Everything fits really nicely, with no rattling around of any sort.

The closure is just loosepin hinges because I'm too poor to go buy a hasp.

Snow

I haven't seen this in a really long time. It was pretty warm for a while, and girls were even wearing short shorts. :D

Then today it snowed. Funny thing is that one girl still wore short shorts today, but I didn't want to take a picture... it might be creepy. :P

I can relate to that. Newgrounds has gotten pretty stale, facebook sucks and I just don't care to check out/ update any of the social networking crap. It's boring as fuck. If there's one thing I can always count on though, it's something awful's photoshop phridays. Give it a look see. Some weeks are better than others...

Funny add

There's an add on the radio for a product called Hero Tab. They call it Male Enhancement... if you see what I mean...

The funny part is that this should be the kind of stuff you want to get to make it last longer no? Well the key line of the add is the following: "Experience EXPLOSIVE FAST ACTING RESULTS!" Not sure that's what you want to get... Heheh

probably because every one is starting to get busy. so not much has been going on in newgrounds. i think 2008 was it's golden year, now it's all down hill.

and if you think facebook sucks, then how come you have one then. :P

Thanks for the link, I'm enjoying the mirror photos :)... I could have sworn that the internet was done being funny, but I guess Something Awful is, once again, the head of new trends.

Because almost everyone has one. It's a de-facto standard, whether you use it or not.

Free DAWs
I think some people prefer Audacity as their free DAW of choice, but both work just fine. It's just a matter of what suits you. I personally wouldn't be able to live without my FL Studio / Adobe Audition 3 combo ;)

Age discrimination

At 5/6/09 09:47 PM, Sungazer wrote: people don't care about 13 year olds though...

Completely true, and I agree with that general opinion, as snobby as it may be. I am willing to admit that there are exceptions, but a most people at age 13 aren't exactly folk you can have a reasonable discussion with.
