What the actual fuck. Anyway yeah, that was the remix contest indeed, I guess I misread it or something. Still a huge amount of cash, though.

That is pretty bad, obviously rigged...somehow. But you've got to admire his photogenic-ness, look at dat pose 0:44. Mmm mmm I'd like me sum a dat :P

But seriously, guy looks like a complete douche.

On the audio portal alone there are now three contests currently up. The NGADM, the NAC, and the RAC.

I've entered the RAC again this year so hopefully I can count on your guys' support! :D

There be some shady shenanigans happening on Youtube as of late...

Opened up Youtube to see what's going on with the people I've subscribed to, a few new dubstep songs, a new progressive house upload, an unboxing for Persona 4 Arena and.... An NHL video tribute to Wayne Gretzky.

...

I've never subscribed to the NHL youtube channel, hell, I've never even watched an NHL video on youtube... And yet, somehow I was magically subscribed to it. I sense a conspiracy...

I've stopped logging into YouTube OR Google as of late when I watch anything on YouTube. If it weren't for the fact that I occasionaly use Google+ chat room, I'd delete my Google/YouTube account.

I find it funny that after a year of failing at getting a job, i start complaining about it publically, then get a job the next week.

It sounds like a sweet job. A friend of mine works at a guitar shop, and he gets to fuck around with the gear. Wish I had a similar job, even if it would be part time.

Yes, I too hate making music on laptops from 1996.

Try doing that on a netbook and not beating the shit out of it.

Tesla Coil

Hey guys. Ive been gone for a while. Anyway, I'm experimenting with programming synthesizers and engineering sound across many categories. My friend created his own tesla coil, so I studied it and learned it produces a type of square wave. Then I thought to myself, "I FUCKING LOVE SQUARE WAVES" So I plugged it into a controlled and started making music.

Next month when I meet up with him again at a monthly engineering meeting, we are going to plug it into a synthesizer and start making music with lightning. Man this is going to be awesome.

I have this so far, it was difficult to do anything cool because my controller could only control the Pulse Width and Frequency, limiting what I could do severely. Now that I have figured out how to actually use a keyboard as a controller, everything should be really awesome next time. I will test it out at the end of this month when all of us crazy nerds get together again. I am planning on making some really cool synths using ACE VST (Any Cable Everywhere) and FM8, using Garageband as a sequencer.
