i could have sword this was rule #3 under subsection D of the form "how to internets". didn't you read that? i've got my password to every damned thing written down and backed up, and for good reason.

I pretty much use the same password for almost everything. After years of using the same thing I think it's engraved in my brain a lot more than breathing is.

If someone wants a 'like' on their facebook page to get a free download - is it okay to send to friends, or upload it for download somewhere else? [of course with full credit and original ID3 - not stealing it]
I was just wondering thats all. For example, if someone doesn't have a fb account or doesn't want one - people can unlike when they have the song if they want (though they probably never do) but is it wrong to distribute this track by letting people bypass the 'like' requirement?

I can't get around it anymore: I have serious hay fever. Running nose, sneezing all the time and eyes that itch like hell, and that during the finals. I'm completely losing it. And the strange thing is that it never bothered me. FML

It's not forbidden. FB rules state that you can't force a "like" for handouts or competition partitions. So basically the pageowner is breaking original channel rules, and also everything they link inside FB is allowed to be linked further by FB users like you, as stated pretty clearly in FB user terms. If they wanted it to be "invitation only" it would have to be made with off-site downlod page blocked with password or similar.

IMHO it's bit stupid to amass likes in FB with such "treat". Take it from a guy who consults enterprises on social media marketing as a day job.

So yes, you can link it without their permission. But no, you can't upload it somewhere else without permission of the owner, just as you can't upload anything copyrighted.

I agree. I really should stick with a maximum of two passwords, instead of cycling five passwords every two months.

Make a strong password only. No one is going to break or find it out easily. Stop changing around and then forget it.

In case you do not know how to make a strong but memorable password: This XKCD can help you out. However...

LOL! I was chilling out with some friends outside, and then suddnely this dude who seemed like he had snorted a few lines comes up to us and says 'Hey man, I just got out of prison, so can you guys give me some money 'cause I don't want to steal any'. We said we didn't have any money with us, even though behind us there was a new crate of beer we just bought, but he didn't seem to notice and started asking other people. Random stuff...

Last time someone asked me for money, they did so with a knife. So I did what any sane person would do...

Gave him the finger and told him to go fuck himself.

Then ran away.

Speaking of random shit...

8th Graders finally got beaten down the other day. The administrators of my school warned them "Juniors are really getting pissed off by you guys. Please start being aware of other people.."

Two days later, there were a group of 8th grade kids walking in the hallway blocking everything. A couple juniors finally pushed a guy out of their group, and the little guys didn't stand a chance.

Moral of the story: Don't act like you're on top when you're not even in high school yet.

I had a similar experience except that the guy instead of using the word give said borrow. We then asked how was he supposed to pay it back. Then came an awkward silence, and finally he left.

Strange things

So, I recently uploaded a WIP piece (Not gonna say what piece it is, nor where its uploaded) and in my DAW (Logic Pro 9) it barely has any bass in it, but when i export and upload it, it suddenly has a lot more bass in it.

Any idea why this is? Im pretty sure it has something to do with my export settings, but I honesty dont know.
The reason why i want to know why is because i could compensate in my mixing for this.
