I've been making music non stop. After a song is finished, I start a new one.
I feel like I'm going insane.

Oh man... reminds me of when I'm trying to fit my bass in. After some research, I found out for most EDM (or at least the style I usually create), the sub is mainly from the kick, and the sub bass is mainly heavy in frequencies 100hz and above.
I think my room needs bass traps, as this was not fully clear to me... also, my sub is lowpassed at 150hz. So when listening to tracks like Levels, Lose My Mind etc, the main bass I could hear was actually mid-low bass. The kick did not fully stand out as much from my subwoofer.

just because powerful tracks like that leave little room for sub bass outside of kick tails does mean they HAVE to.
space laces' sub on his 4 on the floor tracks is ridiculously good sounding, feed me also uses very short tails on most of his kicks.
kicks tails are such a bland way to take up the volume of your mix, you shouldnt rely on them for power imo. Nowadys most neurodnb producers have little to no sub in their kick lol, the attack is too slow on sub frequencies and clogs the mix up considering the bpm.
anyone wanna go to this with me? you could crash at my place later if you want.

did it fit in the end ? 8 hours might be too much, but being kinda obsessive with the mix really pays off imo

Wow, now that's what I call patience.
When I can't get a snare to fit in a mix after a few minutes of playing around, usually I'm just like "screw it, I'm making orchestral".

it didnt lol, i go back to the old clip and the snare is 10x better lol.
I literally didnt sleep last night because low mid range transients were haunting my head. I just kept on hearing it over and over and over and over.

I spend 8 hours just to tune my snare, that bitch can put itself into the mix however it likes. I give up.

that's why I only work on music 2 hours top and then I play a game. It's a p. good cycle.

Yeah. Though you can avoid it by simply not listening to anything for 10 mins or so every hour. Well at least that works for me.

a work groove can last 8 hours for me, anything disengaging is bad for my thought process.

I think you'll find with DnB and Dubstep etc, the main sub-bass is actually from synths, not the kick. However, in electro-pop and house, tracks like Levels by Avicii, and most of those steady-beat dancy tracks, the main sub is from the kick, but the synth bass is high-passed so the kick is not muddied.
However, in Save The World by Swedish House Mafia, the synth bass is actually heavier in the lower end of the spectrum, and the kick is not as powerful in the low end. It goes with the groove, which is not standard dance beat.
lol I randomly found this picture in Google images when looking up a set of monitor speakers
