Yay, we're winning awards and stuff! ^_____^This probably paves the way for BattleField 4 right? Perhaps you will have another job soon?
In any case, it's always good to see that the fruits of your labour are being enjoyed and appreciated by the masses.
" ^_____^ " indeed...
My contract is up at the end of the year, and just after christmas I'm heading to Bali for 24 days of surf, yoga, beers, relaxing and recording of monnkeys and jungles. :) I have only had three days of since the VERY hard crunch helping out with Battlefield 3, and even if things have settled down, I'm still really tired and worn out, so I need to get away.
As for working further at dice... I'm applying for a position, but there's already tons of other people applying for it, so I don't know if I'm gonna get it or not... won't know until the end of january, but the competition is tough as hell, so I'll expect the worst.
So, if I don't get the job I'm just gonna find some part-time job and make audio for games some other way. I've tons of things I've learned that I just haven't had time to try out, so next up I'll need to learn how to implement audio in FMOD or Wwise or perhaps the Unreal engine, and create content, content content! In this case I'll start looking to join smaller projects, just to be able to try things out and learn for a while, until I've something in my portfolio that I've actually made myself (as for BF3 I mailny worked with implementing and de-bugging voice over, so it was a rather technical thing).
