Don't take this the wrong way, but remaining static and expecting everything else around you to become accommodating is an amazingly self-centered view of the world which is surely going to prevent you from reaching your full potential? You've got to try and meet the world half way. If you're looking for harmony, you need to establish an equilibrium.
You will have convictions that you will always stick to. But if half the time you choose to compromise on an issue in such a way that produces and releases a net benefit to the people/environment surrounding you, then surely you're on your way to a harmonious integration with the universe.
