It wasn't a question, see what you're gonna do, post a WIP, Collab, Preview, etc.

Thank you :P

God how I love how tense everyone got when dubstep was brought up.

I didn't find the producing itself to be hard at all. But I'm a "mixophiliac" so.......yeah...chronamut pretty much filled you in on what that means. :P

I think saying something like that comes across as incredibly pretentious regardless of the subject.

shut up and show us. shitty music is shitty regardless of what genre it is. to be honest, I'm starting to think your kind of an amateur producer. the real pros keep pushing forward regardless of anything. you've had writers block since "all the world." get over it and realize that perfection is subjective.

But see here... A pro also doesn't settle for less than average results, they try to make it as good as it can be in their ears. I push forward by working on whatever I make until it sounds the way I want it, however long that might take. Or am I doing it wrong?

That's not a track of mine, but I'm assuming you mean PoE or the clones of it.

Sure thing, but I'm still not settling for something unless I think it sounds good enough to be "publicly displayed". I know that everyone has a different view on "perfection", but if I'm satisfied myself I have succeeded in making it as good as I can.

Hit me up on IM and I can show you exactly why I'm not putting it on NG at this moment in time.

grrr, paradise on e, sorry my bad. I was listening to API's remix at the moment. In all honesty though, I know that about two the three year ago you asked for Rigs help on a drum kick. Get over yourself man. Layer, EQ, compress, resample and do what you have to do. Music isn't some sort of holy grail that needs to be sought after. Just keep making music and be happy :/

in response to this, no I'm not a professional. That would imply that I'm making a shit ton of money from my work which has never been true. I make close to nothing for my work aside from what I get from NG competitions. My work is incredibly closed circuit, near NG exclusive. Suck my dick.

I'm the opposite
I have a bad habbit of starting and finishing all of my songs in one sitting, in fact my last 2 submission were made within hours of each other.=/

I can't walk away from the computer with a song half done, I just can'tO.o

I'm just a fast worker, when I got it in my head I can make it come out exactly how I want it.
I do need to take more time on mixing/eqing though, but I suck at that reguardless, but I should practice>>

Anyway I do it for fun, and working on the same song would get horribly frustrating for me after 2-3 days. I will go back and fix songs up for re-release/album release though.

Looking over the past several pages makes me wonder when it became cool to make fun of dubstep. There's plenty of crappy techno in the AP yet nobody says techno's complete shit.
