Hip-Hop isn't the most popular genre on Newgrounds, so zero-bombers don't visit that page much. That's also why you're almost guaranteed to get a Top 5 spot when you submit a Latin/Ska song, because nobody cares about those as soon as they leave the Portal, and then you can happily vote 5 on them yourself.

Defretted Bass
A good friend of mine who pretty much got me into bass decided to defret his older [beginner] bass (some Ibanez Soundgear thing). By himself, he removed the frets, wood glued (or something) the gaps, and sand the whole neck back down into proper shape.

Hmmm... I'm not sure about that. I feel like trance is a little higher than normal as well, even if only a few hundredths of a point. And that's not true at all you're Latin/Ska theory, I barely ever see them up top -- usualy just trance/house/techno -- and also another lesser used category, RnB, by your theory it would be on the top 5 like Latin but it's not. Do you think NG is cracking down on zero bombers at all? That's what I'm thinkin or somethin.

Actually I'll take back whatever I said cuz the entire top 10-15 or so just got zero bombed by like 5 people to bring down scores a ton. W.e. next time I'm not sayin **** hahah.

I don't care about scores... I care about the publicity that scores give you. So if you're top 5-10 on a genre page, then people click on your stuff and you get reviews and they help me get better at making beats by offering tips. That's the sole reason I care about score. So that period of 2 days or so of no zero bombing and a couple of my stuff on the front page helped me get a bunch of reviews which is awesome.
