I used to hate it too... but now my score goes up, not down, after I post it. Having a group of dedicated fans helps a lot... Only took me like 5 years to get to the point that I had one though, heh.

Actually, now that I think about it I haven't had trouble with low scores in a while. I still get bombed every now and then but its not the problem it used to be. My scores level out relatively fast and never really change. My advice; stick around, learn a few new tricks, make some more friends, review tracks and after a while your own songs won't suffer as much from zero bombers as they seem to now.

Give it like 4 years...

Thunderstorm

So this happened today, it's not far off from me (around 15 minutes by train). My cousin attended the festival but luckily she's all right. She's never been more scared in her life though.

Major suck. What I heard from Belgian news sources is that 3 people died and around 70 were injured.

Wait... that's insane. Was anyone watching the forecast for that day or was it national stand outside in a thunder storm and get killed day? That may have sounded a little insensitive but I'm just flabbergasted that the event wasn't preemptively moved indoors/ cancelled.

Yeah, a friend of my brother went there too. She's ok too though.

The forecasts often don't come true, or only very locally, unfortunately, they got a whole truckload of bad luck with about ten minutes of terrible storm over there.

Also, it was on a major festival, for which people buy tickets long beforehand, often at fairly high prices. They're prepared to withstand some weather to see all these bands. Of course no-one expected bad weather of this magnitude.

just get them high enoguh so their voting ewight makes them barely go up or down. The great thing about newgrounders is a lot of them eventually give up.

thats exactly what the hard part it is lol. Either way this isnt the thread for general system suckiness whining so ill stop now.

SAMPLING\

So just about every one who produces in my city (they are all VERY mediocre mind you), think royalty free drum sampling is like producing taboo. Seriously, its retarded. Their production quality is horrendous and their mixes are hoooorrrriibbblleee. The part that pisses me off the most is that two guys from my school who produce (complete shit), are praised by my whole class and the majority of them dont even know i make music because they dont understand HOW i could make music like mine and they dont understand that the tracks i post on facebook are actually MINE. People are stupid.

/end rant.

I love all of the above lol, but also rave scene, post hardcore metal scene, and tech house scene are all rather big here lol. ESPECIALLY retarded mainstream rave scene.

Be wary of the "amen break", "Four on the floor" and "the wubs" for if used incorrectly, they can lead to the dark side

oh dude you just reminded me of this heinous dance/club song with some bitch singing and it has the most horrendous misuse of the amen break i've ever heard. almost completely dry, too loud, pretty much no re-sequencing... and it was in a fucking top 40 style dance track.

p.s. i am gay

Able to post? Not that bad.

And IO, Now You know how I feel, going into my 4th night without sleeping this month,

I have a fair number of sleepless nights. I'm flubbergusted by some people who manage to project the most idiotic of interpretations upon others.

For the lol-factor, this girls holding a grudge against me for not going to her birthday, cause I was visiting my at the time girlfriend in a different city.

Beyond posting it on a music forum, I don't know how to respond to that, but apparently its a severe issue that is significant as to my ability to go to the same party as her.

Not why I can't sleep though. :P
