I'd make the glow around the logo more subtle, perhaps non-existent, it gives it a cheapish look.

Family shit

As some of you may know, i live with my mother and stepfather.
I've done that for 4 or 5 years now and from the start things haven't really been going well.
But, i wasn't bad. I could live with it.
However, it seems like my step dad's bad characteristics are becoming more and more dominant. It's really hard to live with him and my mom agrees.
He is egoistical, self-absorbed and he doesn't care about others if they do not exactly what he tells them to do or to believe.
A discussion (about any subject) with him goes like this:
Stepdad gives opinion - I give different opinion - Stepdad says my opinion is wrong and does not accept my point of view because his point of view is the only right one. If you disagree, you're dumb.
The same counts for everything. Everything has to go his way, he thinks he is the center of everything.
Is he a bad person? No, he just doesn't know better. His intentions are good, really.

My mom would divorce, if his health hadn't been so bad. He has been an alcoholic so his liver is fucked up and had prostate cancer which led to him having a stoma.
It's quite complicated from a medical point of view.
Anyway, he ends up in the hospital about once a week. Why this happens i don't know exactly. Somehow, his stoma doesn't work properly and because of that the liver has to do a lot of work which is isn't capable of doing. Result: his anamonia levels raise and he gets really confused or passes out. In the hospital they help his liver by removing.. stuff and after a day or two he comes back to senses again and is fired from the hospital. Probably for about a week, before it happens all again.

So yeah, i don't know how long he will last. If my mom wasn't there to take care of him he would've died months ago.
And i don't wish him dead, but.. it would make life so much easier for everybody. And my mom could actually start living her own life.

I have opted to stay at home as long as possible, and as much as it bugs me some times, respect my parents for what they provide me. I do the dishes, and a load of laundry every day, and this takes ten minutes. To pay for my own rent would take eight hours a day five days a week.

its not so bad bjra - I get about 1000 dolalrs of spending money out of it a month.. and I can lay at home naked and do whatever the fuck i want.

The only thing I get out of that list is free rent. I sleep in a box, forage for my food, steal my water from the nearby reservoir, and do my chores at the local sweatshop.

I bought a couple of wires and having been doing this like crazy over the past few weeks. :) You need an HDMI cable and a separate cable for the audio, and you're set.

The only problem is with things requiring mouse/keyboard (i.e. everything besides movies). Unless you have a good wireless keyboard and mouse and a good place to use them both (little desk beside the couch, etc.) you will still have to use the laptop and, well, look at the TV instead of the laptop screen in front of you.

I bought my laptop 3 years ago - it only has the s cable connection - no hdmi.
