My friend and I decided to try DXM last night (basically you just drink a whole bottle of cough syrup with just DXM as the main ingredient, and it's supposed to make you trip balls)

And oh god did it. At first we were just like oh I'm lightheaded poo. Don't underestimate this cause I did and I was tripping for the next 6ish hours and I ended up not getting any sleep.

My other friend took like a 15 minute video of us apparently which I have yet to see, but at some point during the night I took a video of my friend "teleporting" It's pretty friggin hilarious.

The experience changes from person to person and the dosage is subjective as well. It's a very powerful dissociative and we really shouldn't be implying any sort of abuse... not to mention that this same abuse has in the past directly impacted cough syrups availability and formula. A lot of people vomit from drinking cough syrup. This is because companies intentionally put ingredients within cough syrup to make it disgusting to drink. Some ingredients such as Guaifenesin are known to cause nausea. Acetaminophin is in almost all brands of cough syrup and is highly toxic to the liver. Really kids, fucking research dangerous shit before you put it into your body.

Frankly, while I won't argue with your rant (and my own experimentations with drugs have been limited due to my personal preferences), I believe the onus of responsibility ultimately falls on the user, not anyone around him. If you're stupid enough to drink a bottle or two of cough syrup without considering the health ramifications and any other negative effects, then any injuries you sustain are entirely your own fault.

Yeah I did a ton of research first, while I'm not sure by using the calculator I found of reccomended doses for my weight vs. how much I should take I would say I was into the third plateau.

I did this too, and avoided ones with Guaifenesin because I didn't want the nausea, and i specifically avoided Acetaminophen because I'm not that stupid. Don't assume I just took it after hearing about it. I did my research I even went store to store comparing different products and found a robitussen knockoff that only contained dextromethorphan as the active ingredient. We had sober friends amongst us making sure we didn't leave the room or do anything stupid (irony).

So yeah, I did my research and decided on my own I wanted to try it. It was either that or plague my liver with countless beers and shots of whiskey. Which one's worse for you?
