Sadly, yes. We've only been here for 4 months and we're already being evicted. Now fortunately, it's not our faults, the landlord's son needs an apartment and this is the first one he turned to. Now, many people have told me that this is wrong and that we could sue, but my mom's already thought of it and she said that she can't because of the two months notice that we got. We have until Dec. 31st, 2010 to get out.

Just sue. Just because his son is looking for a place doesn't mean he can kick somebody out.

Tell him to fuck off and just live in the streets.

lol. wouldn't be awesome if wars were fought with music instead of guns? just line up two feuding nations marching bands and have the united nations decide which is better... then give the wining nation debated territory. no death :)

alternate plan. wouldn't it be awesome if marching bands were sent to war instead of soldiers?

About the eviction. Yeah I don't think they're allowed to evict someone for that. An apartment building is the same as a business, as a CEO you can't appoint your child as the next CEO because of the conflict of interests... By that principle they can't terminate your living there in order to give their son a place to live.

You can definately open a lawsuit for that, just tell your case to a lawyer, I guarantee he'll be able to figure something out.

Eviction, suing etc

Contacting a lawyer sounds like a good idea, but here's the thing. Lawyers are expensive.

I'd rather pay the money to first talk to a lawyer, rather than let myself be kicked out of my house illegally.

Or just take a massive subwoofer and blast 30HZ in the enemy's face. Motherfuckers will run in terror.

This is probably scientifically incorrect but I don't give a fuck.

No no no, pshycological warfare through music, where we play either really good music loud to show that we aren't cultural duchebags, or play something awful to blow up their ear drums, like some really badly made dubstep with super bass.

More eviction shit.

It's not a big problem anymore. We've already looked at a potential rent out, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, good sized kitchen and living room, etc. etc.

In fact, the landlord for that resident should be here in 5 minutes to check out the dog and see if he can cope with it

....

And he likes our situation. We're moving in. I'm glad to see that it all happened within a span of a couple of days. I don't know when we're moving (it'll be pre-christmas) but we'll finally be in a living unit, by ourselves, without any lazyass 23 year old slobs that can't even take care of their own animals and shit.

Sorry to do that but I had to get it off my chest

eviction

I know I'm late to the party (damn this day job thing), but for all the folks who said 'he can't do that!' :

depending on the language of the lease that was signed, he probably can do just that. it sucks, but unfortunately morality often falls by the wayside.

Tell me about it dude, shit fucking sucks. On the upside, you're now wise to the myriad of ways that people can fuck you over, so hopefully you can avoid this kind of crap in adult life.

Just try not to become too jaded :]. You're actually a really good producer, and those are skills that you can take to the bank if you keep pushing yourself and never give up.

Me and my family are tough people. We've been through a lot together, and our bond, mixed with the obstacles we face each and every day, help us to become stronger. Instead of sitting around, my stepdad found another apartment to rent. The guy that was SUPPOSEDLY going to move out of our present house hasn't moved an inch towards the newspapers or the internet to find houses in his desired area. Instead, we do absolutely everything around the house as he sits around and invites his friends over to eat a lot of food and do drugs (maybe not inside the house but he's got that look on him that says he's a constant user)

I see this eviction as a brand new start. Sure, the backyard may not have any grass for my St. Bernard to do his business in, but we pick his waste up right after he disposes of it anyways.

As for my music career, I've basically come to a halt on production. It's not because of a bad computer or software, I just can't create a full length song anymore. If I close FL after working on a project, it's considered done and over with. The couple of ambient tracks I was working on are completely stopped because of my writers block from hell.
