Last Rant about Seq
Okay i calmed down now. I shouldnt have acted that way against Seq even though he was being a total dick to me. He is after all some dude on the internet.
But what makes it so funny is that a few pages back he told EVERYBODY in the entire lounge to stop speaking to me, yet he's the one who keeps responding to my posts.Thats what ticked me off a bit.
Me having a big ego is quiet a wierd image for me though. If you have met me in real life you wouldnt come to such a conclusion. Even though when i come online i sometimes like to imitate Maddox for my own amusment. He acts all might and junk but you can cleary see that he's joking around. I guess i got so cuaght up in it i forgot that some people might take it seriously.

Why can't we all just get along and eat inaudibly large amounts of candy? It's Halloween guys... seriously? :P
On a brighter note
There's a guy down the street near the park by my house who generously decided to give out candy from the back of his white van! He came to our neighbor hood because he likes kids so much and there are a lot of them in the area. Apparently he has some really great candy he gonna give out this year. I thing I heard something about him having a special "King Size Candy Bar" for some of the lucky kinds that stop by. Happy Halloween!!!

Oh, this is your neighborhood? Very cool. The kids have really bonded with me since I drove in.
Sometimes, it would rain men. "Hallelujah!", we would cry. Thousands were killed.

trying to imitate a sociopath (and failing) is a sad commentary.

Ooooh! A special "King Size Candy Bar", you say? Did he say what kind of candy bar? I bet it has nuts :3
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
NOTE: not a complete idiot. some parts are missing.
Lulz. Happy Halloween people! I just woke up like half an hour ago muhself.
Raged out all night at a big rave in Springfield, my buddy DJ Aether and I dressed as Mario and Luigi for our set and had a bunch of Mario props that we made. Ended up being a massively awesome time.
As for tonight, I've got no clue what I'm going to do now haha. Maybe sit at the door and throw candy at kids.

Only throw it at them if they walk by your house without ringing your doorbell :P

Not always. We'd decided a couple months back that we were going to do a Mario/VG theme for our Halloween set and planned accordingly though. Hence, the blocks and power star (We made that with a strobe inside on a trigger)... as well as Mario visuals.
On that note... I didn't really clarify earlier, but I was Mario lol. I'll have to post a few of the higher quality pics when the photographer posts them.
ravin and shit
yo echoz if you ever wanna hire a badass ld let me know
People taking Music too seriously/over-enthusiastic
The title of this is very badly worded but what I mean by it is this:
It seems that now days when people start producing, they are rushing to be amazing and making it seem like work. Pumping out full songs each day, trying to learn everything they can and, you know, ending up being elitist audiophiles. Something like, "what VSTs to use, production techniques, chord progression sticklers"
To me I feel like they are watering down music production. Making everything about techniques, either radio "playablity" or how crazy and original it is. People having contests to see who can make a genre better and then arguing about what the genre is. Then about getting signed and nonsense like that.
Too much book info and not about, just fun experimenting and appreciation of music.
Am I being close minded and should embrace the passion these kids have? Am I too slow? Should i just say, "too each their own" and that they aren't affecting the music industry/community in any way?
Idk, just something to think about :/

Hmmm. I dont think your being closed minded at all. Ive had that issue alot once. I remember the first time i realeased my first free album for download. I got that idea from Nubbin who also realeased a free Album for download.
In general alot of people liked it. But some didnt liked it that much simply because i used a limited amount of Vst's. Like syntrus, Nexus and FLS strings. But Nexus got mentioned alot. Also they couldnt layoff from the fact that i used the AmenBreak in most of my songs, but not in all them though.
So i argued by saying that such things are not important. Ofcourse we should explore more new sounds. But lets think about it. Back in the old days people used very few instruments like the paino and the guitar. The instruments didnt matter that much but what was important is the music that came from it. Original melodies and sound quality these are the things that should matter the most atleast to me.
Halloween
So i got the dome piece like a month ago... and didnt start working on it until yesterday. Didn't come out too bad for 8 hours straight of work.
FUCK COVERING CIRCLE THINGS WITH ANYTHING.

Posting in the audio advertisements thread is definitely fine :). Also your blog.
As for the discussion re: music/elitism...I personally believe that people should be humble.
Of course, being annoying and arrogant is much more likely to get you noticed ;)

Mate, contrapunt came natural to me, i never had to get a clinic/scholarship/hurradurr over anything ;)
So HIHA HUHEHA to you back right at you etc.
Btw, the bach concert was great but the opening entry being the famous organ piece toccata and fugue in D was full of mistakes, and i know that piece by the note so i was cringing the whole time.
Then again, hearing Prelude and fuga in G minor BWV 1000/1001 on LUTE cannot even be explained how beautiful, i feel like i am priviledged.
Oh and the closing piece 'Schafe können sicher weiden' from kantate 208 was beautiful aswell.
You guys wish you were me.

Performance tricks from a world recognized hall of fame percussionist...not a lesson on counterpoint from some random dude as you make it sound.

Its the old problem of playing popular pieces, people have an expectation for it already so you have to have it down pat.
What orchestra played this concert?
