This is exactly why I'm sorting out a copy of protracker my Amiga 1200.

Well...that and this guy. I've never seen a dude rock a place so hard with such a funny setup. Those tracker sounds are fresh as hell.

It's so entertaining. I guess you can't really go wrong with some old fashioned music.

protracker

nitrotracker is even more basic (no effects commands), i just mass extract all the samples ive made in an xrns via a commandline and convert them to 8bit 16000hz

something to do cause i dont like making music in this noisy hellhole i live at

only when my consumer tv watching welfare collecting sit around all day neighbours are asleep

i use a simple autohotkey script to execute the daw, change the media player playlist to samples, set it to repeat, enable the "stop after current" option, lower the volume, execute vlc with 'nature sounds'

and a dozen more scripts that make all the repetitive computer actions faster

Quick question:

Has anyone here tried taking an Inositol or DMAE supplement (brain food stuff). Holy feck that sh*t is fantastic!!! I got a bottle of both (capsules) on a whim as they appeared to be related to memory and mood enhancing chemicals that your brain synthesizes and OMG it is reaaaaaaaally freaking amazing. I could seriously go run a marathon like right now. Damn.

Just wondering. Geez it feels something good though.

That stuff is freaking good man. I'm not sure why I've not found more people who take this supplement. It's pretty legit.

On a lighter, less torture-filled note...

I finished my song using only my laptop speakers. Working with bass was a pain, but I think I did good.

Timetraveling

Seeing as ive purposely kept myself far away from any and all actual newssources for the past 10 years i have finally succeeded in replicating the effects of time travel. (true story, serious here)

When i walk through town and see all the new technology that apparently young people seem to think is normal and logical i really feel like ive just set foot on a moon colony.

Like flat plates with no buttons whatsoever.. where the fuck are the buttons?!
i dont get it.. and they play games on it and call it an eyepad is there some kind of camera inside it that follows some central point or what, or does it have some touch screen whatever the hell that may be exactly (i know it exists, i just dont know how it works)

I just dont understand how you can work with a thing without buttons.

I wonder what new discoveries i will do in town today, people are also starting to talk languages i do not understand, combinations of english, dutch and african languages.
And the most young people have no respect for anything anymore, no mr before anything, look at you angry, dont give a hand, and drink this thing called energy drink all day long (energy drinks are like 3 cups of coffee and were created for night-job workers, not for children, but now they can be found at ground level for kids to grab and buy and they can just buy it like its normal and then they drink one or two of those cans whole, holy shit!)

I need to get myself a space helmet, this might get dangerous.

Original, classical and retro videogame music composer. pm me for (free) hire, depending on your project i will make you a ost.

dont worry youll be the first to know

Time Travel Related Stuff:

The actual topic of time travel is the coolest and trippiest thing to study ever. Things like the fact that we are .0003 away from hitting light speed with particle accelaration and that there are 11 dimensions of space/time....just insane ass things.

Not being caught up with technology:

not time travel, welcome to being old and isolated haha

probably all of you notice that im quite new here..

i am not seriously used with these kind of thread only system or something, cant explain it. ; D

anyways, i have a few questions - is there somewhere somekind of a request for a video thread or something similar?

and where do you people discuss your favourite music videos, artists, etc?

tried search, but so many threads (gets my head spinning fast)
and also do not want to bump up some old ones.

hope this reply did not also go to a wrong place or something similar ; D

I wish there was a part of the Audio Forum that was like that, but the Mods are so strict that they probably wouldn't even allow it. (I could be wrong)

I'm sure though if they saw your post and saw how well thought out it was, they might have one added. You are the epitome of a good user :D

Alright, after some much found inspiration, I came up with a very nice song. My problem is I need a nice drop, and my drops are weaker then a termite-infested table. Any tips?

I'd have to hear the entire song and the drop in question to give any suggestions. Not all drops are the same.

Well I can tell you there are lots of dark elements. Pads, choir "Ooo"'s, some bells, etc... I figured I could build up from some drums and one of the synths but that doesn't seam to be going well.

What genre is said track? It might help if we knew that.

Well.. that's the thing. With the current build up I have, it's perfect for some Darkstep, but at the same time I feel I could make Drumstep, or even just some DnB. I'm not really sure at this point.

Can't you combine a female friend and having fun with other girls?
I mean, if remember correctly you said that you were spending too much time with the girl you liked but put you in the friend-zone. Couldn't you just spend less time with her instead of ending the friendship like that?
And what do you mean exactly by ending the friendship?

Sorry, i can be pretty nosy sometimes.

Example of my singing here

I bet he was all like "bitch I'm tired of being your friend, I want to be your lover or else this is over", after which he got slapped and walked away.

Probably not, but I'm in a silly mood today
