The Audio Forum

Here and now maybe again,
The insults and cock jokes may never end.
For when I wake, I do declare,
The AFL is at what I stare.
The lol cats come and so do the fails
For this is the place where trolls tell their tale's.
But when fun goes astray and folks go awry,
And after the mods are done getting high,
The lounge may close, and the n00bs will ask "why?"
But it will come back, for it is not dead.
Its just tired... (thats what she said)

Hardcore Nintendo fan here

Watched the Nintendo Press conference today (i'd recorded because I spent the whole day doing work at my grandma's house trying to set it up to be rented- which basically means getting rid of all my dead grandparents' stuff and pulling up carpets etc.), and I gotta say, I haven't been this psyched in a while for nintendo stuff.

A new Donkey Kong, Kirby, Metroid, AND Zelda game?

Tickle me hyped beyond belief, lol. Also considering how I am a gigantic Metroid fan... can't wait dudes.

Makes me wish I had money.

New Zelda

When I saw it, I was like: "OMFG"

It's something between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Nintendo said that the world will be smaller than TP, but it will be more in-depth. Can't wait lol

Damn, might need to pick this one up for my Wii. Also, how's the new Donkey Kong game look?

I wasted an entire summer at the cottage playing that game. I had a -real- freaking sailboat sitting at my dock and instead I sailed in windwaker. I don't know why I loved it so much.... probably all the weed I was smoking.

and all the monsters you couldnt fight on a real boat, and the fucking acrobatics you couldnt do with a real boat, and the story, and the coziness of being in your house, i dont really see it as a loss playing windwaker instead of going on a real boat

I have to agree with sessile here, windwaker is also my favorite Zelda game. The new one has a similar art style too. I want to play

I found it was an effective tool for separating zones, creating a sense of world-scale within the game, and added a lot of room for what would feel like random encounters to the play. People complain about it but from a game design standpoint I thought was entirely effective.

I found it a bit tranquil.

yeah i liked the fact that it not only seemed to be a big world, but it actually was big. games like morrowind seem fucking massive, but then you realize its all to tiny with the fast travel. windwaker did have a fast travel thing but that was way later in the game and even then, it didnt help much, that game was big no matter now you look at it
