Besides, i'm not entirerly sure but ownmade computers are generally more expensive aren't they? Well even if the parts were cheaper someone else would have to assemble it for me ;(.

- It's not that hard to build a PC, I'm going to build my self a gaming PC in july.

- No they are not more expensive. I'm getting all my parts under $1100, which is cheaper than gaming PC from like alienware or other companys like that.

Sounds promising. Do i have to buy certain parts what would work better for a producer computer? I already got a nice soundcard, but i'll geuss the rest is basically speed and memory.

yeah agreed. all it is is buying shit then screwing it together. i made a computer when i was like 13, i thought i was all clever and shit then i found out all the other nerds at school were doing that shit aswell, and it's actually easy as.

generally, a general purpose computer from a big company like dell or seomthing will be cheaper than homemade, but for something like a gaming computer, yeah maybe it's cheaper.

i think the only part that isn't really essential is the graphics card, assuming audio production is all you are doing. maybe 2 hard drives is a good idea aswell, 1 fast one for OS and programs and a slower bigger one for storage.

Frontpage Suggestion

Don't you think that the frontpage should play like featured music in the AP, just like some websites playing songs on their homepage? I mean just to give a little more attention to the frontpage while people are scanning for some good content. And if some people would find this annoying, they could mute the song playing, or move on to the next song. i think thats a better way to feature music than just posting them on the frontpage with icons and text.

mwah. :P

BEAR BARS!

yeah i went on vacation about 3 years ago to cape cod. We went to provincetown during gay week. Well we were there with two of taras gay friends. One night we decided to go to a bar called purgatory. we walked in and it was empty besides the bartender and the door man. we had a few dri nks and started reading some little pins that were on a wall. stuff said fuck slave, fisting lover, gag me and fuck my face, bears do it right. we then realized that every single person that was arriving was wearing leather pants or jeans a leather vest and a leather collar and all these guys were hairy and looked like the biker from the village people. the looks i was getting were scaring the shit out of me.

Yup turns out we were in an s&m gay bear bar. we then eft before i got raped ... or.....fisted

New Thread Idea

Would it be a good idea if we make a thread entitled 'Name and Genre Help' where we post our songs in that thread if we need help with a name or with a genre. There are a number of different songs categorized in the wrong genre or in Miscellaneous when there is a genre for their song, and there are also loads of songs with a name such as 'Battle Theme' or 'Idea <insert number here>'.

Sure, changing a genre or name of a song doesn't really make the song sound any better, but let's face it, if a song has a good name, people will definitely be more interested in it and click on it than if it had no name or a name such as the ones mentioned above. In addition to that, having a song categorized in the right genre will have the fans of the genre hear your song and you'll have more of a chance of getting more fans and less of a chance of getting idiots who lower the score of their review because your song is in the wrong genre.

So, is it a good idea?

not sure that it'd get any real impact tbh...
main point is that there aren't THAT many threads like that, and if they're not formed to be some kind of sneaky-sneaky adv. thread, i personally don't mind either of the above type of threads (songname, whatgenre)...

Idk about that...I feel like it would get to the point the Audio Advertisements got to. Where there are a bunch of posts but no one ever reviews or anything...

It might work in the beginning, but who's gonna want to keep up with it the entire time?
Not many people.

Sad moment for rock and metal fans.
Ronnie James Dio died today. As many of us know, he was one of the icons of rock and metal stage, performing with legendary bands like Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, and his own band Dio and guest appearance with Deep Purpe.
On his official website there is this announcement"
"Message from Wendy Dio
Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever.

- Wendy Dio"

Our sincere condolences.

This sucks, I still remember the first time I heard Dio. Also my dad owns the a copy of Black Sabbath album "Heaven and Hell" in vinyl. Dio was truly amazing and his work with Rainbow is some of my all time favorite music to listen to.

Meh, whatever... Normally this would be a bit of a problem. But because the policy here is to out weigh the rights of the accused from the rights of the victim, everything is hunky-dorry. Because they get a pardon and full benefits for the rest of their lives and we'll just have to pay a few more hundreds of millions dollars in tax money that they gave to the mortgage company which they will put 5% into the company and the rest will go to Filipino hookers.

And the best part, no one (up top) will think anything of it.

don't even dare bringing that up in this thread, ALL threads are to be spared from those discussions - because we who've been around long enough are EXTREMLEY sick and tired of that stuff.

you might bring something up in here if it's NOT BITCHING/WHINING or similiar.

posts have been deleted, noone banned. yet. >:(
