yeah agreed. all it is is buying shit then screwing it together. i made a computer when i was like 13, i thought i was all clever and shit then i found out all the other nerds at school were doing that shit aswell, and it's actually easy as.
- No they are not more expensive. I'm getting all my parts under $1100, which is cheaper than gaming PC from like alienware or other companys like that.
generally, a general purpose computer from a big company like dell or seomthing will be cheaper than homemade, but for something like a gaming computer, yeah maybe it's cheaper.

i think the only part that isn't really essential is the graphics card, assuming audio production is all you are doing. maybe 2 hard drives is a good idea aswell, 1 fast one for OS and programs and a slower bigger one for storage.
