MY BIRTHDAY BBQ IS TODAY

so since its most likely gonna rain i tented and tarped about 35% of my yard. (my yard is huge- you can have 3 volleyball games back there)
I had a pork shoulder cooking in coca cola, condensed milk and spices for 24 hours at 160F that i just pulled out the oven... damn it is good. Thats gonna be for pulled pork shoulder tacos served with fresh onion and salsa.

Then im making chocolate ribs that cook for 6 hours on the BBQ on low heat with wood smoke.
And im making smoked jalepeno lime chicken drumsticks that have been marinating all night.

got a huge pile of wood for a bonfire and a table for beer pong.. (i dont like to play but some of my friends do). so hopefully it wont rain but if it does the tarps should protect everyone there.

if i take pictures ill post one or two of em.

Wow, that reminds me of my aunt's yard... she lives out in the far FAR suburbs of Chicago, to the point where it's farmland around her (though more and more ugly infestations of suburbia are creeping in... you know, the houses that all look the same. Yuk).

Her backyard is pretty huge, though I think we can only have 2 volleyball games. : )

Have a happy (and hopefully dry) birthday!

NG Atlanta Meetup 2009

I went bowling with Jonas, Luis, ForNoReason, and Nogfish in my hometown today. They were supposed to give out stickers to every minor that came, but I was the only one besides the four of them. I left with 27 Newgrounds stickers and a sore wrist, it was great!

Sounds like fun. I can't really go to any other meet ups besides the london meet ups.

And btw, I've mentioned this before but you might want to change your name because Stupor reminds me of the word stupid...

You don't have to change it though :)

Rant

I feel like ranting today. I don't know why. I'm not really a person that you'd expect to rant. Maybe it's because of the things that are happening lately. Good, but also bad things. Maybe i just need to get them off my chest. But i can't. For some reason, i tend to keep my feelings hidden. The strange thing is that i know that's not good, but i still do it.
Sometimes i just open up notepad and write down all of my thoughts and feelings, just to get it out of me. But i'll make sure that nobody reads it, heck, i don't even save it when i'm finished with writing.
I just feel like no one understands me, but i know that's bullshit. There are people who do understand me, my mother for example. But i don't want to discuss all the things i feel and think with her.
But i'll stop my rant now. You probably don't even care. And maybe that's the reason why i post this.

I'm going to write a big old paragraph full of talk about ranting and feelings and frustration but not talk about the reason I'm ranting.

I have given you two possible explanations of my rant.
1: Things that are happing to me lately.
2: You don't care, so i can rant whatever i want.

Yes, things. The reason that i don't talk about those things is described in my rant.

Did i say that it was my intention to let people care about me or my rant? I don't care if people care or not, i just felt like ranting and that's exactly what i did.

For real though, if you're having problems talk to your mom. You said she's the one that understands you, so talk to her.
I too have a hard time expressing myself when I feel the way you do. I just bottle up my emotions and carry on. Not good.
Talking with people you are comfortable with is a good way to get those emotions out.
Also working out. I know that sounds strange, but it does help. Working out releases a lot of stress.
There are a couple other things you can do:
Chew gum
Write it down and throw it away
Go somewhere and just think

If you want to get a better response out of people here on NG there's a great club and crew topic I check up on from time to time to help people out.
Don't worry bud, we're here to help.
