Newgrounds is being dragged into a 4chan substitute kicking and screaming, especially the general section.

I still don't get why there are massively stringent rules about NSFW material when you agree you are over the age of 18 when you create an account... then again, I'd like to see a chart of real average user ages.

Looking at the flash/audio reviews, I estimate it to be in the single figures.

Ban Rap

I honestly didn't find a thing about it funny. It's bad music, it can't have a comical purpose to me, AT ALL >:C

;)

Mich's English Skeeeellzz
I always use full punctuation and sentences to the best of my ability, and at the speed I type. I overuse commas just to add a millisecond or so in while I can think of another word. 'Sall good, homie.
Apart from IMing, in which case you'll be getting no capital letters or sentences, still a lot of commas, and quite a few abreviations tbf lolk.... and smilies :O :P :D :)

"RIP Argu"

Let us play Deadmau5' Arguru in memorial of Image-Line's Arguru who died in a car accident exactly 2 years ago.

I'm sure some of you noticed the 'RIP, Argu..." when they opened up FL today...

Or, your speakers are pretty bad? ;)
I'm sure it's nothing. I thrash my ears constantly. And am not allowed to get my left one wet, or it could re-instate some deadly-eat-my-brain type infection thing that I think perforated my ear drum before. But whatever. I like having a shower, and going swimming.

New BBS rule

while that's a rule that have come up due to the meme being overused (just like many other meme's; "rape her", "grab his cock" etc), it should be simple common sense not to post shit like that unless it really really makes sense.

basically, we dont get that much crappy meme's in this forum, so i wouldn't worry about it all too much, but it's definitley good for You to know if you intend on visiting general.

don't fuck around /thread all over the fucking place though, effectivley completley misinterpreting what i've said above >:(

Music injuries

I played bass in a tech-metal band for years, and I got numerous blisters on my fingers etc.. Also getting knocked around while playing shows at parties, i would encounter the usual gash.

Music injury
I lost a finger on my left hand when I was 12 years old. I was taking piano lessons, minding my own business, when all of a sudden the wooden cover of the piano slammed over my hands. Sure, they used a whole lot of ice and all that, but it didn't prevent the left pinkie finger from turning blue to a point where I could no longer feel it. At the hospital, they said that some sort of clot would prevent me from using the finger again, effectively ending my piano playing.

In case any of you actually bought the bullshit I wrote above, consider yourself taken off of the next

April's fools list as an apology. Or something.

True. Actually, this counts for every form of making music. When you want to achieve something you've got to work for it and don't give up too easy.

Damn, I've found out about like ten gaming webcomics in the last week or so. And there I was just reading Ctrl+Alt+Del and 8-bit Theater when I could have been wasting even MORE time on this. Off to fix that right now.

I don't get blisters from playing but I do make my fingers bleed on the odd occasion.

Hey i love gaming webcomics! You should check www.vgcats.com even thou the creator of the webiste is pretty lazy on the updates it takes this dude like two weeks or so to make one page. Instead Ctrl+Alt+Del updates two time in a week. So i read more Ctrl+Alt+Del then VGcats. But i do like the Art Vgcats more.

Oasis Gig in Local Park.

So the Band Oasis is playing in ym local park for three nights. I haven't got tickets, but I don't need them. :D

It takes me 5 minutes to walk to the park so I can hear them very clearly from my house.

The bad thing is that yesterday the Drummer was banging away for an hour doing sound checks, but other than that we get a free gig from our house.

How cool is that? :D

Not very.

Hey guys, just popping in to say I probably won't be seen a lot around here because I have exams coming up, and more importantly, the presentation of my yearproject (which I'm going to fail).

Wish me luck to make the best of it! ;)

Uber guitar fingers

Yeah, I still await the day when my fingers develope any kind of callas on them. I have some on my hand from biking, years back, but that's it.
There is a dude in a sort of local-ish band who apparently has callas on his vocal chords, because he's a fucking nob who can't scream properly and is ripping his throat to shreds.
THAT is when you should stop.

New Mixer

I've got a Torq Xponent! Yay! =D

However...

Torq

Is fucking complicated.

Seriously? I can save hand gestures and link them together to make different rapid effects on the mixer? Wtf? So many goddamn things that are new to me on this. It'll probably take months to figure it out.
