I have 3 accounts because I have a down-tempo type ambient project thing, requires a page. Then I have the DexterPowercrush page I just made, and will have set up properly when I finish college. Then a page to shove all my shitty pop-rock demos on to show to bands mates and musician friends, which I now use instead of my normal account anyway.

I don't just wanna upload my shitty songs to NG. It's a decent place to get some exposure here if you make alright stuff, so I'd like to try use it as that. I'll have higher quality versions of my stuff released elsewhere, when I actually start releasing stuff.

I think it's funny that one of my tracks with 783 votes got reduced from 4.41 to 4.38 on Tuesday. Of course everything else got completely decimated. I don't think I will try for top 5 anymore.

I have had the 10 second after submission zero bombing occur before. I didn't know whether to laugh out loud... or fucking scream. I ended up Lol'ing simply because there's nothing you can really do or say to make douchebags disappear from NG...

College = Lack of sleep
Spent the entire day yesterday writing a final essay for a class, up until 4 AM, and just woke up at 9 AM to finish it because it's due in like... two hours. :P Wish me luck.

Fuck my life. I was just looking through my projects folder and realized my What I Found Remix FL file is just gone (the song in my sig). Conveniently, it was my best song to date, once which I was planning on reworking extensively once I got my new computer, and there's no trace of it. Fuck this

Backup your projects, and organize them nicely :)
I've got a separate folder for every prooject I ever start.
That's 54 folders so far. (to give you an idea how much shit I start and never finish, check my amount of submissions on here...

RSI sucks
Got RSI (Repetitive strain injury) in my right arm. it HURTS. The doctor told me not to use the computer for 5 days, but instead, I unplugged the mouse, and I'm using the touchpad with my left hand. But seriously, it sucks, not being able to do anything with your right hand without it hurting terribly.

I can't make a good hardstyle/nustyle melody. The best thing I've came up with so far is just some thing that sounds like a generic trance chord progression with some notes on the top. Like I always end up making.
Maybe I should just make a trance track....

My past experiences with audio communities has been an extremely supportive and positive one.
So the thought of someone or a group of individuals intentionally voting negatively out of spite (or for some other immature reason) is just baffling. Like, for Christ's sake, are there roving bands of internet gangs comprised of 13 year olds trying to to be internet tough-guys?

Zero bombing is definitely an issue, I probably should deserve a "little" more exposure, I'm not that great at this whole music thing, but I deserve a little more credit than I get ;)

but no, if you can't see my songs, you can't hear them, and trust me, you can't see them.

but really, that's not a reason to not submit here, the people here in the audio forum "generally" know what they're talking about, and can be helpful!

Computer FAIL

Well it's not really my day. As I had bought an external hard drive and moved all my music and music production stuff on there, I wanted to merge the partition I had for that on my internal drive with the main (C:) drive. This using partition magic blah blah. Seemed that the structure of my internal harddrive was a complete mess, as partition magic just labeled it as 'BAD DISK' and didn't even read the partitions. Then, later, I noticed that my documents partition (which I didn't even touch) disappeared from explorer. I tried about 20 thousand different programs to recover the lost partition (as it hold loads of webdesign and programming work, and also some pictures I don't want to lose, no, not porn.) But it all failed. The last program looked promising, and was nearly finished getting my data back, right when windows decided to go into utter fail mode. -> Blue screen.

Tried to reboot -> failed. Then after long searching, trying to install xp, failing at that, then finding my original vista disk, I got it back installed. And what I just noticed, was quite amusing... :)
My documents partition is back, and works without problem. Now to install all my software again... and get back on track. Also, this hurt my wrist a lot, typing this up =/

Wow, stinks for you mich. But at least your computer is working at all, right?
