Lately i've been humbled, after entering (and manlying my way into the first round of, mind) the newgrounds audio deathmatch '13..

Only now i can see how good some people are and it had me thinking beside genres, i mean i would never try to compete against other genres to begin with but i also always thought of it as beneath me to bother with.

Now that i get to actually listen to some of the work people make 'in other genres i noticed they are quite evolved in their worlds of em, i mean i've heard some effects that i cant even imagine how to make (because i only compose in the pianoroll as a classical (true and hybrid, generally not orchestral )and retro (8bit) composer. And one of the tracks i heard even shocked me as to how artistic and original it was, and i have to admit when it started i could hear the same instruments i use and i expected it just to be a attempt at some classical music but holy crap did it evolve in something incredible.

So yeah let me say again i am humbled, not to the point of feeling less talented than i am (as far as you can say that about yourself ;l ) but definately impressed with the talent on the audio portal of newgrounds.

It really is awesome seeing not only the type of music people bring to the Newgrounds table, but also how they portray that particular sound or genre. Even though I didn't make it pass the auditions (and felt slightly disappointed), I was still happy to see all the different talent who auditioned and felt inspired by everyone. I totally look forward to how Round 1 plays out. Good luck to you by the way! :D

^ You know, this is really the only thing that makes me want to still be a part of Newgrounds. I don't really care about submitting my music here anymore... I dont really care much about the animations, general forums, or anything else for that matter... but when I come and see the audio community coming together to create something awesome it makes me tear up.

The diversity is pretty awesome. You guys rock so much more harder than an overdone Sonic fighting Mario parody.

Hate My Job

Can't even call in sick without it causing undue amounts of stress.

I need a new job... Any offers?

Prostitution. Or drug tester.

Both of those would pay more and probably be less stressful.

Totally serious.

On top of that, I was in the middle of backing up some stuff, then the power flickered off, on, off, on, then back off again, and stayed off for like the last hour.
Turned my PC back on once the power came back... and I got a whole bunch of errors... This day just keeps getting better.

I backed up most of what I didn't want to lose a week or two ago, fortunately, because I suspected that my HDD was getting ready to die. The rest, unlikely. Pretty much everything is corrupted/damaged now.

Aww I'm sorry you had to go through that. Glad you got most of what you wanted backed up.
A moment of silence for your HDD. *moment of silence*

I personally use mozilla firefox, latest btw.

And have had problems with audio uploading for a long time now, the two most annoying one being; error screen when submitting, then have to go to project system and resubmit for it to actually work, and the cd art needing to be uploaded literally thrice everytime, so i stopped doing that in general, oh and i noticed alot of old uploads dont have text in their comment section anymore, wich is a blow to the jaw when you make heavy storyline based albums with the noveling there.

Eeee! He's cute! :D Not sure if 'cuddly' would fit the bill as he's an octopus, but oh my word, his eyes...... owo
