I have a better sense of what sounds to use if I start mixing with headphones than monitors.

this makes me slightly worried about the tracks I've made with cans only the last 7 years... which is all of them.

on the subject of cans and speakers, are consumer-grade speakers worth getting (for mixing)?

But my SC app on my Iphone won't open anymore. It's been quite a while.

Can't listen to music that I can't download.

I don't think so. Studio monitors have a better way of seperating frequencies than crappy standard computer speakers. Also they look much cooler. I still wanna buy a pair of KRK R6's if I ever find the money to do so. Until then, I do everything with headphones.

I never did well in school, I did well on tests, including standardized ones, and no regrets.

I have a diploma, and it's the same piece of print the straight A students got. I didn't try, and I missed 40ish days my senior yearXD

I really want to go to Electrowerkz in London and see FGFC820 live in April but I'm probably working that day. I missed Grendel last year so this time I don't want to miss FGFC820!

Well, it just a question of how the systems communicate stereo to the listener.

In all honesty you are so used to your headphones now that you're probably fine.

I would say HELL YES!

as long as you are aware of the flaws within the soundsystem, its a very good gauge in terms of not screwing up certain basic stereo things and hearing how your track sounds over imbalanced systems.

Really? If you mix on standard computer speakers, your music sounds good on those kind of speakers, but would probably sound cruel on monitors.

so you fornicate during your terror? Reasonable.

If the ringing doesn't go away ever, you should really stop listening to things at loud volumes. Preferably nothing at all for a good while. You're damaging your ears excessively (probably from loud mixing?) and if you don't change that right now it won't end well.

If it's a ringing that comes and goes, that's tinnitus and is something a lot of people get as they get older. People in our field naturally get it earlier and faster then most. That's also permanent but if you keep things reasonable it shouldn't mess with you too hard until much much later in life.

after which we all go deaf and become senile and go "EH? SPEAK UP I CAN'T HEAR YOU" to everybody we meet.

I have a ringing in my ears too. It happened on a sunday evening during a mating ritual with a water buffalo. They can be pretty fierce in the sac

im just gonna repeat this...

Also on the upside of having ringing ears, you have a constant pitch 24/7 so you could easily discern the notes of things yay.

Hello!

I'd like to introduce myself. I go by Silv3Ster, I'm a Hardcore artist based out of Calgary, Canada. I had an account on here a while ago, but forgot what is was, so I created a new one, under my official name.

I currently don't have much uploaded, but once I get back to my usual computer that will change. If you have any questions or would like me to review a track, please send me a message :)

I also don't really understand this new scouting system, but if any of you could recommend me, that would be fantastic.

Thanks!
