Hey guys. I just downloaded Don't Starve and I'm absolutely loving it. I got a free copy with my Steam purchase. If anyone has Steam and wants a free copy of an indie survival horror game, post here with your Steam info and I'll send you a free copy. First come, first served.

Cheers.

Anyone seen this program before? It fascinates me, yet this kind of meticulous work is beyond my comprehension. Just thought it would be a neat share...

I'm going to trial this out and see how I get on, looks amazing!

Hi there Lich - I assume we'll be hearing some of your EBM/Aggrotech projects from this software soon :)

It looks interesting to me, but it looks like it would take a long time to put together just one song and I don't know if I would have the patience to finish any projects in this - I would probably just go right back to FL Studio.

Max is pretty awesome! I have a copy but I haven't really delved into it too much. It's a bit over my head, but I'm slowly learning it.

FL has a "patcher" for doing graphical signal chains and NI Reaktor allows you to build FX and Synths and what not from the ground up with the same concept. Nothing new, just different. Still cool though!

I'm fine, thanks for asking.
If you're feeling dumb it's the time to watch some Mel Brooks.

Do you post in all the other forums?

I tried being active in the general forums for some reason, but found myself dead-ended. I realize I could probably try to post in collab or flash to really really get to know everyone and perhaps get stuff to do, but I just feel so comfortable staying in my own realm...plus, people scare me. Are you all actively on pursuit?

I don't see any reason to indulge in the other forums unless the conversations are about something that interests you. Unless of course you're doing it for the sake of racking up a post count statistic.

I used to hang around in the general forum but when I check back there now, after over a year of inactivity there, it's simply mind-numbing. I'm not saying General has changed, but I might have.

Anyway, I tend to check on the very slow programming forum as well, once in a blue moon there's a topic I feel I can offer some insight.

So with your experience, have you gotten much benefit from any of the other places? I guess I sometimes feel baffled about how everyone seems to get to know each other really quickly...how does everyone communicate? Though I think it's half my fault for sitting in the hermitage...

I don't think I've learnt anything worth mentioning outside the audio forum. The only reason to lurk and post is for the community sense really. If you're really looking for that, Clubs & Crews might be worth hanging out at; find some clubs of your interests and introduce yourself.

As for our lovely audio community, it's mostly through posting in this very audio forum lounge, but some of use used to or still do hang out in live chats on skype and or irc every now and then. A bunch of people from here also end up adding each other on Facebook. (I know I've got a whole bunch of you) :P

Massive multiplayer online MINEFIELD.

Fuck me, this is addictive.

If I ever want to introduce anybody to electronic music, it has to be Bonobo.
