Don't Escape
I'm a werewolf and it's a full moon. I have to find a way to prevent myself from escaping.

Gandalf aside, it would be pretty cool if you could do mentions like that on forums.

Well fuck me sideways, just read it. That's pretty awesome. It'd be cool if @username actually linked to that user's user page too.

Acoustic Shit
I am trying to plan out the acoustic retreatment of my studio and have hit a bit of a wall on one issue. This is still in the planning stages. As mentioned before when the plans are finished and materials gathered I'll be doing a thread with tutorials and an interview with an acoustic company ceo....but for now.....I'm taking this issue to the lounge for your guys opinions.
This is the front look at what the new acoustic layout will be. Light green is mid/high absorption, dark green is bass trap, red lines are just indicators (yes my walls are that color, and yes...i am a pink stick midget for the sake of this).
The problem is the upper wall/ceiling structural design. It has a lot of weird stuff going on. I included a picture because its hard to draw out in ms paint. Currently, I have some terrible bass trap stuffed up into the window well, and the mid/high absorbers go all the way up to that structure, but neither of those things really does anything except dry up the upper end of that room without fixing the issues it really causes.
TLDR; Thoughts on treatment of the WTF section? Any input is appreciated.

I can identify with that, at least to some degree.
So... I got Rocksmith.
After fumbling around to find my component cables for my PS3 (I use HDMI... which causes audio lag with the game it seems) so I could put my sound through independent speakers, I hopped into the game, guitar in hand... It's actually quite fun... if a little overwhelming trying to sight read moving, colorful tabulature to songs you've never heard before... But I could see myself benefiting from it in the end.
I'm kind of lazy when it comes to practicing guitar, I tend to skip over all the important stuff because it's boring... having flashy mini games catered to training the skills I skip over most of the time I think will help me out a lot.
...Only downside is, there's really not a whole lot of songs that I really enjoy... I've downloaded the A7X pack, Bring Me To Life by Evanescence (This song is much harder to play than it sounds it seems), and Redneck by Lamb of God (Which I could play previously)... But there aren't many songs that came with the game itself that I'm all that interested in...
Regardless, I'm finding it quite fun... if a little confusing at first trying to keep up with the movement on screen.

Well, that was the same for me. You'll get used to it eventually.
Also, in my opinion, the real downside of the game is the fact there is almost a hundred of downloadable songs, which you must pay 3 euros per piece (where i live, that is).
Oh, and good luck playing Boss.
cool piece, but a pain in the ass.

Yeah, I've bought a few songs already, but most of the DLC even doesn't really interest me honestly.

I already have. Was certainly a little challenging, but I managed.

Well, i believe you were practicing guitar before getting Rocksmith, which wasn't my case.
As a total beginner, i was barely able to play Next Girl :p
Hands up
Why this number of downloads? How is it broken?
I need the drum and the bass
and the girls in the place!

Yes, I've been playing guitar for like... 10 years or something.... To be honest, starting out in Rocksmith almost put me to sleep... "These are tuning pegs", "This is a fret", "This is how you put your guitar strap on"...
I was mashing the skip button the first hour or so of the game to get past all the, "I'm assuming you've never touched a guitar in your life" bits. Skipped all of the technique videos as well.

I've been playing classical guitar for over 9000 years. I tried Rocksmith last week and failed horribily. I wasn't THAT bad even with Guitar Hero. I can play some of those Rocksmith Songs perfectly fine IRL, but not within that.. game. Brrrr..

Well, after all, Rocksmith was intended for beginners. And i must say, it did a pretty good job with me.
Sure, my play is shabby as hell, but i learned things i wouldn't have if i had tried to learn by myself.
